Perhaps I could just be a consultant for mentors?

Yeah, that's more what I had in mind. But if that would make the mentor scheme too complicated, I may have to reconsider.

Not that I really see how it would do so.

I'm not of much use in solving this problem right now since it's late at night and I'm tired. Perhaps I can revisit this in the afternoon when I can think again.

Okay, here's my idea. @Wintermoot How about we give the Mentors a list of consultants for the various guilds in case a Mentor doesn't have an answer for their Mentee's question?

I think it's a fine idea, as long as @Point Breeze is fine with it.

If a mentee (I strongly dislike this word, for the record) indicates to their mentor that they're interested in RP and/or the RP guild, the mentor should introduce them to a RP guild mentor/consultant to get them started in the guild? 

Or does the mentor just try to get answers from the consultant and get back with the mentee about it and let them make the decision to reach out to the guild on their own?

The latter.

I was thinking it gets left up to the mentor.

Also, what better word is there for "mentee?" "Trainee" sounds a bit too militaristic.

"Noob" sounds too nerdy...

I usually say "new citizen."

If you really want to be militaristic you could go with "cadet".   "Apprentice" or "rookie" might work though.

How about Neophyte, or Initiate, or Tyro?

Yes. Consultants will be there only when called upon.
