Since I'm about to become very busy IRL, and since I still want to maintain my responsibilities in the ministry of Foreign Affairs, I think the time has come to appoint a new GM (Guild Master).

This would also help us answer the question of whether the return of RP to the region is because of the guild, or because someone finally made an organised attempt to bring it back, coupled with a few other factors like the having recruited the most people in a long while.

This does also unfortunately mean that I may have to delegate some of my ideas to a new GM too, such as writing guides to new RPers, creating guild graphics, helping people with Factbooks, creating templates that all RPs should ideally include in their sign-up sheets (credit to @Wintermoot for the idea) that will attempt to learn what level of experience each RPer has in a way that doesn't force them to become a part of the guild to RP, and so forth.

We already have a map-maker, Gerrick, and he has shown great commitment to it, along with skill in his appointed task. For that reason, I've been toying with the idea of having a few GMs, each with different tasks, take up my mantle.

Who would be interested? Consider this a thread for suggestions on ways the guild can help our RPers too.

I'll go ahead and nominate @Gerrik, @taulover, @Bodobol and @Aragonn for now.

Another thing we could also do is have one GM who reports directly to the ministry of information (i.e. The Jarl or Thane) so that said person can gain a comprehensive understanding of the status of the guild and RP from one person, while the other GMs go on their merry way with their appointed tasks.

This is the type of "many hands make for light work" flexibility that I believe is the greatest asset of a guild.

It's possible I could help people with factbooks. I've already worked with @Chanku a bit for his tech.

That's great to hear. I can't imagine people learning from someone better when it comes to that. You were my mentor unofficially when I joined Aura Hyperia last year.

I think that @Commander_Zemas would be a good person to give a position, too.

And definitely give Aragonn the factbook helper job. He's basically a factbook God.

Yeah, I'm not comfortable enough with roleplays to be like the main GM or anything since I'm still very new to it, but if we end up having multiple ones with different roles, then I think I'd be OK with that.

Yeah, that's what I have in mind. I considered the dilemma well before taking this route, because some people with demonstrable skills were too new to take the main GM job, and on top of that, I wanted to lighten everyone's work-load and responsibilities.

Are you volunteering Aragonn? If you are, you've got my vote. You're the best qualified person for the job.  (But the NH RP will get off the ground soon once you get the trading system all ironed out, right?)

Aragonn's biggest constraint is time. It saddens me to say that NH has never seen the type of action that Wintreath now does. Aragonn is uniquely qualified to the position, but I don't want to overwhelm him. That's why I'm doing it this way.

By the way, do we have someone who's good with graphics?
