1. This shall be titled the Declaration of War against Sealand

2. The Storting hereby declares officially war against Sealand. The reasons for war are as follows:
- Refusal to accept the Potato as the one true god
- Taunting the Jarl of Pointy Objects with a dull needle.

3. This declaration shall cover the Principality of Sealand, and not  the region of Sealand in NationStates.

I feel like a joke proposal of sorts should be filed every now and then (I would also kinda like to see this pass though...)

In all seriousness though, I think it's good to have a joke proposal every now and then.

Well, I was thinking of editing my post, after reading the campaign threads again. ... and I did.

Ah.

Anywho I think it's good to be able to laugh at things like this every now and then. This is a game and I think a lot of people get worked up and take things a bit too seriously; which I am guilty of. So sometimes it's helpful to have a bit of a laugh.

Hehe, I guess our opinions differ.

As much as I like the proposal and the drive to increase activity albeit jokingly, I believe it is technically illegal per the General Assembly rules. Technically you aren'ta WA member and needn't follow said laws, and no one in Wintreath can force a Citizen to join the WA, but I feel as if the rule is generally good practice:

Real-World Violations
George Bush, Barack Obama, Hammas, France, The Michigan Compiled Laws (Annotated), Earth, Milky Way, and Smith & Wesson do not exist in the NationStates world. Don't bring them up in Proposals.

And Sapph I mainly wrote this as a way to get out some stress and calm myself down...along it's rather humorous for a NS Region to declare war on a micronation

I have no doubt I am lacking a sense of humor.

What I'm technically saying is that, according to Wintreath and NationStates as a whole, Sealand doesn't exist and never has. I like the proposal. I admire the joking nature. I however am most likely lacking a sense of humour, and playing devil's advocate instead

They don't exist in the world of NationStates and the WA, which requires IC writing in laws.

Wintrean laws, on the other hand, don't have that requirement (take a look at article VI of the Fundamental Laws for an extremely obvious example).

With that in mind, ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS POTATO! PURGE THE SEALANDIC HERETICS!
