Hi, I'm Gerrick. I've only been here in Wintreath for 2 weeks now, but regardless I'm campaigning to join the Underhusen. I originally wasn't planning on it, but since I was nominated, I figured I may as well jump right in.

As I'm also new to NationStates, I obviously have no experience working in a legislature such as the Underhusen, however I am quite interested in politics, so I believe I could help with everything that's going on. Also, since I'm new to all of this, I can help see things from different perspectives than most others have -- just check my proposals in the constitutional convention.

Even though I only joined the region recently, I have been quite active and have had some positive feedback from several members. This isn't going to change, so you won't have to worry about an absent Underhusen member from me.

Right now I do support the disbanding of the Underhusen. From what I've read, it is not living up to what it was or should be and is only causing problems without bringing activity or productivity. Getting elected into the Underhusen would allow me to see how it all works from the inside, then I can help try to solve problems as I am a problem solver. Whether this will ultimately mean disbanding or reforming the Underhusen remains to be seen.

I'm quite into the guild concept as it seems to be creating a lot of activity -- at least in the roleplay field. I can only hope that this may lead to more future guilds to increase activity in other areas, but from what I've seen so far, I am for it (as I am for anything that increases activity) and will try to do what I can to promote it.

As North seems to be asking everybody their strengths and weaknesses, I'll list some of mine here.

Strengths: As I said, I'm a problem solver. This comes from my abilities to deeply research things and brain storm. After I get a good understanding of a system and figure out some of its flaws, I'm good at coming up with multiple options on how to possibly fix them. Because of this, I'm quite open to other people's opinions and not too hard-headed, so I'm willing to work with others to find something that really works.

Weaknesses: Unless I truly get to know how something works, I'm not very good at finding problems. Since I'm pretty new, this means I don't really know very well how some aspects of the region work. I hope to help remedy this by getting a first-hand look in the Underhusen.

In the end, I want what is best for Wintreath as I try to become more integrated into it. My platform is based on peace and fun, increased community involvement, and solving problems. I'm quite happy with all of the current candidates, so good luck to whoever gets elected. Also I'm open to questions. Thanks!

So I probably have the most important question of all...are you a horse?

Listen here, buck-o. I object... neigh, I balk at the implication, and I vehemently stomp my hooves at the allegation. I don't think you foally understand what you have said. The equestrian of whether I mare or may not be a horse is of no consequence, and saddley I can only wish that I may be anything like those noble and awe-inspiring beings. I would ask you to rein in such accusations as a stud such as myself bridles at your manner of questioning and will not be jockeyed into saying something that is plainly false. Because of you, I believe my emotions have become unstable, and I dam well expect you to pony up in compensation.

@Gabriel (Pengu), I think you and this guy would have a lot in common when it comes to humour.

With so many "destroy the UH!" campaigns raging around here, do you think there may be a chance that we've hyped it up too much?

(FYI, I don't think that, but I don't think my hatred of the UH has left me completely objective).

Well, I wouldn't say I have a "Destroy the UH!" campaign but more of a "From what I've read, it's time for something new, most likely destroying the UH" campaign. So I'm fine with everybody who are jumping aboard the "destroy the UH" train as I feel that's the way to go, but I also appreciate people like HannahB who represent the other side of this.

Outside of the whole Underhusen debate, where do you feel the region most needs improvement?

Well I don't really have anything to complain about  . I've never been in one of these forum type communities before so everything here is above my expectations, which is why I chose this region.

I joined after big events like the end of the summer event and zombie thing had already ended,  so it seemed things had started to slow down, but with the UH thing and the rp guild, there's pretty much always something to do now. So if those start to slow down, then maybe just other stuff to do? I don't know, I'm looking for problems where there are none and I'm terrible at coming up with events or activities so I don't really have any ideas there.

I already really like it here, so any improvements would be nice but definitely not needed.

I don't want to speak for him, but I think the two of us have similar stances on some of the issues, so I don't really know what else to say to campaign on. But I'd be happy to answer any questions that anybody may have about me.
