A squad of MK3 Battle Robots
The Avonite Military is experienced, well equipped and hardy. They are equipped with Darkcloak Industries model 173-je MAGguns, High powered laser weapons that fire a beam of light that could vaporize a hole in someone up to a mile, making them accurate and fearsome weapons. However, prolonged firing (as in firing the same weapon over and over again for more than 30 minutes) makes the gun less and less accurate as the focusing crystals get warped by the heat of the laser. Their armor is made of titanium-molecular fused reinforced metals with a deflector shield that can deflect a few non direct hits and shrapnel effectively. The armor also has a jetpack that allows for short bursts that can get them about 500 meters, though more advanced versions allow sustained flight, those are only given to the Skyjumper corps . They also have top of the line tech when it comes to imaging and scopes. Their armor corps have been rendered obsolete, though they have an abundance of APC's. They also have a robot army, though they tend to use them as reserves as even though they have large numbers of the robots (DI MK3 Battle Robots, bipedal robots with smaller MAGguns and no independent thought) they are not a terrible effective fighting force, better at buying time for a regroup then at winning the battle. Recently, however, upgraded versions, MK4's have been introduced and have proven to be incredibly effective if limited in number. Another model, the MK5, is intended solely as a mobile rapid-repeater MAG's.

The Avonite navy is also no joke, with their Pendelton-class cruisers being armed like no tomorrow. Broadside batteries on every level of the ship armed with larger versions of the MAGgun that do even more damage and twin SUPERMAGguns (basically HUGE MAGguns) at the front can make a square kilometer of an enemy hull as hot as the surface of the sun, making them dangerous vessels. They also have shields that can both reflect light, lasers and kinetic weapons. Additionally, they can deploy graviton disrupters that make fleeing from them impossible and firing at them difficult while giving their lasers virtually no misdirection. Pendelton-class cruisers also have point defense turrets all over the ship and are usually accompanied by Silent-class Aircraft carries, which are also heavily armed and have thousands of drone fighters that can take on most other fighters. All Avonite ships use Singularity drives that change the passage of time, allowing them to speed up time for long distance travel and temporarily slow down time for no more than 3 seconds to take evasive action. Kir Darkcloak has looked into using smaller versions for troops to "jump" into cover. Such miniature versions are in prototype phase. Singularity drives, however, have a flaw. Regular, sustained use will result in "Singularity Sickness" as the organs begin to fail due to time manipulation leading to advanced ageing.
There are other classes to. The most common being the destroyer, of which 3 classes exist.
Tollman's Folly Class Destroyer
The most common class. A quick and well armed speedster. It's Gravity Well allows relatively massive jumps out of the line of fire. However, it has the weakest shielding and armor, not being able to withstand more than a dozen direct hits but being more than capable of giving even a Pendelton a run for its money
Believe Class Destroyer
The Believe Class destroyer is really only used for one thing: taking damage. It has massive shielding units and armor thick enough to resist sustained ground battery fire. However, it lacks sorely in the armaments department. It has the equivalent fire power of a pair of fast patrol ships, which for a destroyer is dismal. However, it can and will keep dishing out damage relentlessly making it no less dangerous than any other ship.
Wilderness Class Destroyer
The Wilderness Class Destroyer. One purpose, one design. It has one piece of long range artillery. One. However, that one gun has the power to punch through heavy shields, thick armor, even being able to penetrate a few miles into a planet's surface. However, besides a few point defense turrets, it utterly lacks any defensive measures. It has no shields and very little armor. It is used solely as a long range one shot killer. However, as the Wilderness class was not very well recieved by the Navy, less than 100 exist.
Besides their cruisers, destroyers and carriers there is one last ship the Avonites use which is quite rare.
Atonement Class Dreadnought
10 of these exist. The Remember, Tannhauser, Orion, Atonement, Indemnification, Confessor, Sorrow, Shriver, Contrition and Compunction. They were designed by and for the Shepard's Church as weapons able to destroy entire planets. The way this is done is simple. The ship is the size of a small planeload, think smaller than Pluto. They fire projectiles the size of asteroids. The impact of one projectile would be equivalent of an extinction event. There are 4 reasons they were not used in The Endless War.
1. They were meant to be used as fear weapons. The mere threat would cause the other to surrender.
2. You cant inhabit extinct planets.
3. Firing one just once would be the same cost as building 5 Destroyers.
4. The war ended before construction was finished.
Avonite command would never use such a weapon unless they had no intention what so ever of annexing the planet.
The big problem with the Enclave Military and Navy is not effectiveness, usefulness or supplies, it is quite simply that there are not that many soldiers or ships left. Even Darkcloak Industries is having a hard time building ships to replace the monumental losses, and there are not that many able bodied young Avonites left to train as soldiers. They by no means makes them less dangerous as a fighting force, it does leave them unable to effectively replenish their strength quickly, however.
To combat Romulan cloaked technology, the Avonites created the Graviton Sensitive Network. It uses a simple premise. While a cloaked ship, any cloaked ship, may be able to deflect particles, hide emissions, and hide their position they can never stop the fact that their hull is solid and unable to allow certain particles passage. The GSN basically works like this, Graviton particles are fired in a tight circular spread and received by another sensor. These sensors are created to be the size of a fist and nearly impossible to detect. The hull of a Romulan ship will absorb Gravitons, allowing a silhouette of the ship to be seen. Kir Darkcloak recently created a new version using Tachyons, allowing for a far more accurate picture of the cloaked ship. However, this version is only used in Avon at the moment.
There are a few flaws with the GSN, however. First, it requires an incredibly accurate gravemetric reading of a control setting to prevent constant false readings. At minimum a year's worth must be used, preferably 3 years. Second, while it is very effective at identifying cloaked ships, their origins and heading it is ineffective at getting a fixed position, only able to give a general position and at giving accurate fleet sizes. Last, while the sensors are nearly impossible to detect and are quadruple backed up if all the receiver units or all the transmitting units are destroyed the network will fall.
Recently, the Border, Internal Growth and Military Sciences Think Tank, or BIGMT, headed by Councilor Irk Flowchaser, has looked into using androids for military and espionage use. However, given the complexity involved the androidds cannot function for more than 3 days before dying. They have also looked into upgrading their STINGER mobile assault platform, a giant 3 story robot based off an Avon Spider with miniMAGuns for defense (8 barrelled rotating MAGguns) into something more.... fearsome.
