IRW Ventator Stellarum?  It can receive hails, but I think it's cloaked and hiding presently iirc...

See the thing is I am having a hard time justifying how the Ventator Stellarum could survive on one of the single most heavily fortified planets in the Avonite Enclave. I justified it so far by saying that in the midst of chaos and confusion it would be easy to remain unnoticed but now that the situation is stable I cannot see how your ship can survive much longer, especially with 2 fleets in orbit aware of its presence.

I have to side with North on this one. Even if your ship is cloaked, it's only a matter of time before it's found and destroyed. I honestly believe launching those decoys was a mistake because they can track the decoys and use their trajectories to figure out their origin, aka your ship.

I believe that you'll find the probes were ordered on "various courses out of the system" which is good enough to buy some time.  And I also think that gives them the opportunity to flee the system, especially when there are various probes designed to emit more standard cloaked patterns than the "modif[ied] system functionality to mimic subspace distortion" ordered to the computer.  Unless of course that wouldn't work.  I think that various leads would probably be good enough for at least some time, and certainly enough for a tactical retreat, if that's presumed as more likely to succeed.  And though a single ship isn't of any tactical value, I have been sort of Enterprise-ing it to sort of get a more compelling story.  Otherwise the only real players I'd be able to work with would be Rear, Vice, and High Admirals, as well as high ranking civilian officials and the Tal Shiar leaders.

tl;dr: probes as decoys aren't using normal courses, and the ship's emissions have been modified drastically from standard Romulan-type vessels under cloak.  Though if necessary I could have them be on-course out of the system after that unfortunate spiritual misunderstanding...

I'm sorry, Robin, but I cannot except that. If I did the Avonite forces become a joke you can easily destroy. This is Avon. This is the Avonite Holy Planet. This is the single most heavily fortified planet in the entire Enclave. If one ship can escape from Avon than basically you would become hilariously overpowered against me. I cannot except that with 2 whole fleets in orbit and ground batteries aware of your location that one ship could escape that.

I suppose I was operating under the assumption that Romulan Cloaking Technology was at least relatively foreign to the Avonites.  And space is a very, very large place.  Hiding a fleet would obviously be a hard thing, but a single vessel in a vast star system... that's less hard to do, especially when fleets are concentrated in the orbit of Avon itself, correct?  Or is the entire system within sensor range of the vessels?  Every system has blind spots.  Plus they kinda have to do things for the sake of the plot. 

On a different note, what happened when Pistrix's fleet broadcast the communications logs of the Stellarum?  Surely that would have a moderate effect on things...

You didnt state what precisely you transmitted. What precisely was transmitted? I know the logs were sent but what was in those logs?

Also, if I recall correctly, the Stellarum was in very low orbit, low enough that the ground batteries could not target it. Which means in between your ship and the next planet is

A)the ground batteries which can target your probes since they can detect those

B)not one but two Avonite Fleets, both of which know where you last where and have point defense systems that can detect your probes.

If your ship gets away then the Avonite fleet is basically useless.

True.  But in the middle of nowhere in the ocean, with a vessel capable of changing it's apparent mass (requirement for FTL travel), and a cloaking device, it should work I'd think.
