Ugh I feel so off...I hate this...

I was thinking the other day, and while I don't think it would work in this region, I came up with an idea for a regional legislature...it would be made up of three parts: the aristocracy, which would be the regional nobility; the plutocracy, which would be donators; and the meritocracy, which would be people who had accomplished things for the region. The makeup of the legislature would be based on the end of the last calendar month, so every month the people in it would change based on who was a noble, who donated, and who contributed in the last month. Regardless of which part someone entered in as, it would be unicameral, so one group wouldn't be 'superior' to another.

I got a pedometer at work through some thing my health insurance is doing, and the goal of the thing is to do 10,000 steps a day. First day I wore it was yesterday, and by 1PM I had 500 steps...300 of which was walking from the parking lot to the office (which I mentally complained about along the way). Maybe this is why I'm fat. xD

7500 steps so far today...much better!

It's kind of neat since my phone has one of those programs that has a pedometer mixed into it, so it always records the amount of steps I do each day.  It's interesting to look into it occasionally and see how many steps I do in an average day since I'm on my feet most of the time at work.  Normally I average about 12,000-15,000 a day, though apparently I've had a day where I hit 36,160...which equates to 17 miles.  It makes me wonder what I was doing that day.

I just got a cheap android phone...do those pedometers take up any data? Are they accurate?

I don't believe they take up data, or at the most they take up the most minimal amount since they don't normally access the internet.  As far as I know they're accurate, since I normally walk around a lot...and even the days where I've gotten rides home or rode long distances, it's never recorded any of that distance as steps.

Example being PAX on Sept. 5th.  Despite the fact that we drove around a lot and the long drive there, it only recorded 11,690 steps for the day...and that was all of the walking we did throughout Seattle.

It probably uses the accellerometers that come in pretty much all modern phones. I'd bet it's accurate.

I visited my grandmother today. I'd forgotten how she could put the fear of god in a child until I saw her with my oldest cousin's children. Now I remember why I was so well-behaved.

In any case, I woke up sore as hell Who knew 10,000 steps would be so tough on one's body, though I guess when you've rarely if ever done it...anyways, that's not stopping me! 1725 steps so far.

Well the one I have comes with the phone since it's one of the Galaxy S phones.  But just type in Pedometer in the Google Play store and they should have some on there.
