Do it, because if you don't you are going to regret it. I posted mine on Fiction Press. And I was scared of what people would say, but in the end it didn't kill me , so go for it!

I posted my shitty dragon sex fanfic on FF.net and got only positive feedback

This poor little freshman girl I know just told me she doesn't eat until 4 in the afternoon due to her schedule, so now I'm buying her a scone at lunch since that isn't fair she doesn't get to eat until then ;-;

It previously sounded like you'd want to write professionally at some stage. Were I you, I'd refrain from posting anything but fanfics to established works to such sites. You might just give someone a million dollar idea, and then they use that idea and become wildly successful. I myself am very cautious with what I share with even my closest friends. They might just unintentionally give someone else such an idea in a moment of drunkenness or something.

Of course, I'm fast becoming aware that there is no such thing as a truly original idea anymore. Still, I hold out hope that one day I'll have something I'd feel proud of sharing with the world. If you are the same, I suggest you learn a great deal of caution.

Yeah.. Ideas are worthless on their own, effort is all that matters.

I still wanna try to get my original stuff out there, we all gotta start somewhere, right? ^o^

AO3 is good for original stories as well as fanfics, you have to be invited but I can invite you If you want

Oh! I go on AO3 a lot to read fanfiction, I didn't know they had a lot of original stories on there. It'd be nice if you could invite me, as currently the only website I'm willing to post my story on so far is Wattpad.
