Congrats on your writing, Nox.

Last night was fun...spent some time exploring with @Colberius X, and we found an awesome place for a new colony! It's picturesque, with a nice clearing in a forest, with mountains in the background protecting fertile valleys...it's something right out of Banished. I've already envisioned a quaint community of small houses and log cabins...farms and wells and humble community spaces. I'm excited to build my own.

Ah, I feel rather irritated at my math teacher >.<

What'd your math teacher do?

He told us he'd give us referrals if we try to use the bathroom.
And I'm just like how even does that make an ounce of sense?? 

Ahhh...now I remember school and its silliness.

How does it make sense to send someone to the office and write them up because they need to use the bathroom??
Then he kept yelling at us the full period like okay calm down already you sound like a twelve year old because your voice keeps cracking when you talk too loudly and you keep telling people to be quiet.
He just makes me mad uggghhh.

Well, from their point of view you should use the bathroom before you come to class, but apparently they don't understand that sometimes it can hit you all of a sudden. I hope I never forget what it's like to be a student like many teachers seem to, at least.

If he actually sends someone to the office for needing to use the bathroom, I will so post an angry review on ratemyteachers.com because I can't do much else.

I'm not sure how effective sites like that are though...teachers and administrators don't usually care about the opinions of their students.

My school usually doesn't do stuff about problems either way, nor does my district.
One of the teachers at my old middle school got caught watching indecent videos behind his desk during class, he only got suspended for two weeks and then got brought back, despite that was not the first incident to happen.

You also have to remember, in most states teachers are horribly underpaid, especially for a job that requires a college degree. As a result there's a huge teacher shortage and most districts are just desperate to keep anyone so long as they don't actually start touching their students.

Yeah, I get that, but our school district is one of like the top wanted in our state, constantly people are wanting to come work for our district, or so say they.
I mean, he did look down the shirt of a student, I'm just like why even is he still a teacher.

Seriously though, it's hard to say without knowing more about your actual area...in general, a lot of districts are so desperate they even depend on substitutes to take on full-time assignments. In some areas the teacher's union can be a powerful force against firing one of their members, too.

Our school is pretty close to the local college, so constantly new teachers are coming out of there looking for jobs, and actually I had a summer school teacher who talked to us about it, and so I'm like okay so can we remove this creep or.

My school hires some real weird teachers though, like there was seriously a teacher who spilled his coffee on the floor in the gym every morning when everyone was sitting in there to wait for classes to start, and he'd look at it and then walk away like what.
Then another who freaked out on me for going into their desk like you told me to go into the desk and then I got yelled at in front of everyone.
Then there was one who reached down the back of the shirt of one of my female friends to cut a tag and I was just like what like just what just I don't.

It's hard to say then...maybe these teachers have friends in high places.
