I knew it.

Well, my mom decided to go through with it. I now have to wear... extra padding. This makes me ask myself who would want to date me now. I may not enjoy sex, but I still want to go on dates.

Ever wake up from a nap feeling like shit and it takes forever to get out of it? That's me tonight...I've read it's due to getting up in the middle of your sleep cycle or something.

Yes, it's likely because you rose during REM... However that would usually require external input like noise or shaking or something wrong with your body it determined needed your conscious attention such as not breathing or... Feeling some sort of intense pain. There's a few websites out there devoted to guessing about how long you should make a nap so that you don't wake up in the middle of REM... But it's all guesswork and it really is very different for each person.

Nothing really woke me up...but occasionally I just feel that way after a nap, and it lasts anywhere from a few hours to all night.

It could also be something else...before I took a nap I ate a pint of ice cream my mom had got me. Where I've been cutting down on sugar, it could be that I'm just not used to that much of it anymore.

Having had insomnia for the majority of my life I've done a lot of research into sleep.
There are a few reasons why you might have felt shitty having woken up. One of the biggest things to remember when taking a nap is to make sure you are allowing your body to run its cycles; these happen in 90 minute intervals.

How Long to Nap for the Biggest Brain Benefits

More than likely one of two things probably happened, I am not a medical physician or expert so no quoting me

• One- You experienced Sleep Inertia, this happens whenever your body jolts awake and you just aren't quite ready to be awake yet.
  
• Two- You mentioned that you ate ice cream before, it is possible while you were sleeping your body was working on breaking down that sugar, possibly making your blood sugar levels higher than normal. This could account for feeling shitty too.

While I am not an expert at sleeping, I am great at planning when to take naps. I can steam on through 4 and a half hours of sleep through a 15 hour work day...just as long as I get an hour nap in between that.

Anyone else find it pretty funny that Wintreath's Jarl of Culture is ranked 456th out of 460 nations for most cultured?
