Status update: I am going on leave next week, and then I'll have some time to get back to my duties here. It's been hectic at work lately.

I suppose there's a lot of individuals suffering in the world. Pretty sad when you think about it.

Transphobic? Now that is a very strong word to use. I am familiar with the situation that propelled him to the public eye and I would not at all regard him as Transphobic per say.

And how is that, in and of itself, Transphobic? He compared a group of activists who where promoting a piece of legislation that, in his eyes, was a massive overreach to Mao. How is criticising someones ideas make them a phobe of that thing? If you criticised my ideas does that make you a bisexualphobe?

I honestly don't know how to tell you that comparing trans activists pushing for anti-discrimination legislation to Mao Tse-tung is offensive and transphobic.

What exactly do you want me to explain? I dont really understand whats going on in the RMB, sorry.

Some Trans Activists who were pushing a bill that, in Jordan Peterson's mind, contained compelled speech, a concept that Mao was very fond of. And why is it offensive to all Trans people? Are you a monolith? A hive mind? Can I criticise the actions and proposals of one Trans person without being "Transphobic"? If you wish to criticise the ideas of a man like Jordan Peterson, someone I do not always agree with, that is fine. Do so. But do so accurately. I do not agree with Peterson on everything but I certainly do not think that he is Transphobic.

I mean...Allouxia seems to think that 'cisgender' as a term belongs in the 'SJW imaginary category', and I'm trying to explain that it's used so as to not exclude transgender people.
Effectively the argument I'm trying to make is that referring to 'women' and then 'transgender women' sort of excludes 'transgender women' from being perceived as just part of the group of 'women', and so we should instead say 'cisgender women' and 'transgender women'.

For some reason, this didn't go off like the perfectly clear beacon of clarity like I expected, and then I was asked if I should respect him if he said he identified as a Leopard 2 MBT. To which I said firstly that if he did, I'd slap him, and secondly that that was not what I was talking about, only to reiterate my point again.

But then I became concerned that the whole 'perception of separation' thing might not even be the right reason. So I, uh, panicked and came here, since there was talk of such things already happening.

I just want to clarify something real quick because I think I'm misunderstanding something you said. Does saying 'Women' then 'Transgender Women' denote exclusion? I do not see how that actually translates, a bit like saying 'men' then 'black men' does not necessarily exclude black men. Heck, I'm probably misunderstanding something though.

Which is a part of why I was like 'huh that doesn't really compute' to me. Hence why I thought I'd ask someone who knows what they're talking about, rather than it coming down to a blind man trying to lecture another blind man.

Ah. Ok then. Personally, I think it comes down to context. If you say something like 'Many women, especially Transgender Women' , the context would be clarification. If it was "Many women, unlike Transgender Women' then the context would be exclusion. But again, for me at least, Context is Key.
