So, I spent most of the day chatting on Facebook with this guy I've found cute for the last few years...we used to talk all the time, and he would even call me in the office and we'd chat for a few hours every few Fridays, but then I got ill and wasn't in as much...and we drifted apart.

Someone recently told me that they thought he was gay, and noted that they seem to make a beeline for me anytime there's an event where we are at the same place, but he's never said he was into guys, and I've never really pushed on that nor intend to, so who knows?

I know from experience online that if you try on someone that's not comfortable with their sexuality, when the whole thing goes downhill they'll not only blame you for the end of the relationship, but blame you for 'making' them gay/bi and go back to being 'straight'. He knows that I'm into guys, and if he is into guys and not comfortable enough to mention to me, a friend, that he is as well then I don't really be involved there. If he is straight, then it's wasted time anyways.

I actually don't think homosexuality is very rare...I think most people have the capacity to love and lust after the same-sex, but that society conditions people toward one direction. I honestly think as you see gay people becoming more accepted, you'll also see higher proportions of people come out as at least somewhat bi.

As for him, I really have to admit that I don't know his home situation. I know he still lives at home, but he could live with uptight Christian parents for all I know, or there's some other issue preventing him from being open...or he could really be straight in spite of what people have said. In spite of knowing him for years, he's never talked much about himself personally.

Perhaps you need a new mattress...I bought one last weekend, and it's done wonders for my sleep.
