Due to the nature of an OOC thread, it would be cleaner to store tech info in one separate thread, which we can update as necessary. This means that whenever we need to refer to the tech we're using, it will all be available in one simple location.

USS Wintreath Weapon System: 6 small laser batteries on each side and 4 big laser batteries on each side making up a total of 20 laser batteries. 5 torpedo tubes at the bottom front of the ship.

The USS Wintreath is also made to be augmentable, at least systems wise..

Don't forget about the autocannon point defense turrets. Those are important against enemy fighters and incoming....well, anything incoming.

Also, I'd like to know what kind of systems I'll be working with as Chief Engineer.

Manage systems/ augment them with technology we discover. You'll also help repair. These will be the current duties for now

Ah. Mainly the navigation systems as we don't know of any dangers yet. Keep power to shields though.

Obviously the ship has a reactor or two. Otherwise there would be no power. Then there's the engines and navigational thrusters (unless you intend to make this like Star Trek where impulse engines can move you in any way you want), the sensor array which should be split into two parts; navigational and combat. You said it has shields, but failed to mention what kind of shield, so I'm gonna assume you had a Star Trek type shield in mind. Am I correct?

Shields will protect from energy and normal bullets. There will be a little bit of protection from small missiles.

The 2 reactors will be nuclear fission. The sensor array will be 2 parts.

I haven't watched any Star Trek so I know little of its technology. Can you explain a little bit more on the engines for me?

Honestly, in all the Star Trek movies and episodes I watched, no detailed explanation went into the impulse engines. No explanation went into them at all, so I'm at a complete loss as to how they function. Warp drives were explained in painful detail, but not impulse engines...

The ship isn't FTL. It can go up to light speeds, but not beyond that.
