I still haven't seen anyone address the fact that there just isn't much of worth to do.

But then what would we do without a legislature when we need it? Say a new feature or some big political thing happens in NS that might requires us to change our laws? However without a legislature, we would be unable to do so. Only Moot himself would be able to do anything about it. Not that I don't trust Moot to do the right thing. I'm just saying, what would we do!?

Keep in mind that by canning our legislature we also get rid of our judiciary.

As stated, my proposal (which is based on Reon's ideas) is that all law-making duties would get taken over by the Monarchy as advised by the Riksråd and possibly the OH. Why would that be a bad thing?

The citizens would have their bill of rights, and all political garbage only has to be dealt with on rare occasions by the people who've always been doing it.

Also, I have stated ample time exists to alter the few laws that require the full Storting. These are all obstacles that can be overcome. The absence of something for the legislature to do, however, is not.

I still like Emoticonus' idea better, mostly because of the issue of security.  It'd be a much harder operation for a bunch of people to apply for citizenship and then apply to the Underhusen than for them to just apply for citizenship and then change all of the laws.  That's a legitimate, if a bit far-fetched, concern.  With Emoticonus' proposal, I think that issue is avoided because you have to be accepted into the Underhusen with a vetting process and such, if I understand it correctly. 

I would like to note that you guys do nothing to stop bad people, as is... If my idea of disbanding the Underhusen hadn't gained popularity I was just going to use my power to break and twist the systems in stupid ways until it permanently broke... Which I openly and publicly said and I got voted in by popular vote...
Like I was actively malicious and no one gave a fuck...
And our citizens security check literally only stops people from making 8 accounts... And a couple PNG checks... It really does not stop a populous party from coming in and changing things...
Aaaaaand isn't it untoward to democracy if there is an overwhelmingly popular crowd that votes something in only to be undone by an authoritarian judge? Like this seems a really weird thing if you are attached to not just going into an absolute or barely constitutional monarchy...

Actually, I'm saying you can vote democratically on your RIGHTS, but all other law will get left up to the monarchy, Riksråd and Overhusen. So we would become a hell of a lot more of a pure meritocracy. The citizens wouldn't have any power to "change all our laws." They would only be able to vote on their citizenship rights.

So at worst a malicious party would be able to remove some rights but that wouldn't be relevant really because the only person who enforces negative things is Wintermoot... I suppose maybe also add some rights for them but even then it's questionable something bad could come about...
Yeah I think the confusion definitely came because I advocated either direct democracy with a few things or an absolute monarchy with a bill of rights and you just said Reon's proposal and it coulda been either as well as other muddle... Well hmmm... I really like that actually... I think that would be pretty dope...

What's to say our "Grand monarch" decides to ignore said rules. We need checks and balances, such as legislature to keep him in check.
