Heya Butter, unfortunately like Daw stated to Potato Bagel, you don't quite meet the requirements to make a house just yet.  As per Royal Decree 004: Regarding Recognition of Familial Houses, first section:

1) Citizens of Wintreath who head a familial house in the region and have at least 100 posts on the regional forums shall have the right to formally request recognition of their House by the Government of Wintreath. The Monarch or his designee shall have the authority to approve or deny requests for recognition, and shall maintain a public record of all currently recognized Houses.

So since you only currently have 18 posts, you don't currently qualify at this time.

I really think that rules should be changed because I've been a citizen of Winreath for about four months now and honestly I prefer discord rather than this site. Every month I have about 200 posts besides in March where I think I had 99.

Times are certainly changing, but the laws as they are written are still the rules as they currently stand.

@ogunbiyi6422 has more than 100 posts though, so he can found a house if that's an acceptable alternative.

There's no restrictions on who can be the head of a house - just who can found one.
Similarly, there's also no restrictions on how many houses one individual can nominally form.
As such, until such time as the law is changed, I propose that, if a legal fiction be required for these Houses of Kowalski and, er, "of Devils" to be founded, that we pretend I founded them, then departed them for...some shenaniganrous reason, leaving the first member adopted (either Bagel or Butter, respectively) as putative Patriarch (or other title).

Again, it has to be the person heading the house that can found it...since they become the considered patriarch/matriarch upon being formally recognized.

And the person heading it has to have 100 posts at least.

So the only thing that would work is if you specifically were the head of the house...or Butter posting in the forums a bit more until they hit 100 posts.

Also, you're still considered part of House Emoticonus since it never formally dissolved, and would be considered its current acting Patriarch.  Are you formally leaving and dissolving that house?

I am leaving the house of Emoticonius mostly because It was an agreement between me and CoS and if it were identified with another name maybe I would stay but I feel that I can't be a member of the family bearing his name if his name is still there. There are 2 options
1. Could I change the name of the House? I don't think I can because as acting patriarch, I don't believe I have that power. Or do I...?
2. I will ask Butter if he wants me to be the head of the house but ultimately since it was idea I think it would be better in he waited till his 100 posts since it is his house.

Since you basically hijacked a non one-word spam thread and made like 6 pages of spam one-worded posts completely unrelated to the actual topic, I'm going to let @Wintermoot decide if those even count, to be perfectly honest.

I am leaving the house of Emoticonius mostly because It was an agreement between me and CoS and if it were identified with another name maybe I would stay but I feel that I can't be a member of the family bearing his name if his name is still there. There are 2 options
1. Could I change the name of the House? I don't think I can because as acting patriarch, I don't believe I have that power. Or do I...?

Technically, you're the only one left in House Emoticonius, and the remaining house chooses the successor patriarch/matriarch, so the remaining house (aka you) could choose you to be the next patriarch.

Of course this is a bit weird, and it may make more sense for you to leave House Emoticonius and found your own house.

Would also point out that the wording of the houses decree allows Wintermoot to deny house applications for any reason; to me, a blatant attempt to bypass a legal requirement via a loophole is reason enough.

(Deja vu to when I made this exact same argument back in 2018, lol, though Wintermoot disagreed.)

Of course, Butter (as well as Wintermoot, that last time in 2018) is right that it may be time to reconsider the house registration requirements, especially as times are changing and the community moves toward Discord. But to me, a clear bad-faith attempt to bypass the existing rules isn't the right way to go about doing that, and I don't think that should be rewarded.

nah I never intended for this to work I'm just being annoying till we think about changing a rule but hey give me some points for creativity lol
