1) What is the name of your Wintreath nation?

2) Do you have nations in any other regions? If so, where? Also, do you serve in any official roles in any of them? If so, what are they? This is my First Nation and its currently in your region.

3) Are you new to NationStates? Yes.

4) Would you like a mentor to help you learn your way around Wintreath? Certainly, I need all the help and advice I can get.

5) What timezone are you in? I'm Houston, Texas so Central.

6) How did you find out about Wintreath? Well I was starting my nation up for the first time and you guys were the twelfth recruitment message which stood out the most to me.

Section II: Interests
There are many things that you can get involved with here in Wintreath, both to help the region and just for fun! Based on your answers to the questions below, we will help you get involved in any aspect of the region that you're interested in so you can hit the ground running fast. Indicating interest here does not commit you to joining any aspect of the region, but will help us guide you to where you want to be here.

1) Are you interested in being part of our regional military? Certainly, as long as I can be involved in the government and other activities.

2) Are you interested in forum roleplays (character, national, etc)? I don't think I'll be doing a lot of role playing but maybe.

3) Are you interested in playing in our Minecraft server? No thanks I gave up playing minecraft a couple of years ago.

4) Are you interested in general region-wide games, such as Civilization V? If so, what games would you like to see? I also gave up playing Civ V and games in the Europa Universalis series of games.

5) Are you interested in regional politics (elections, running for legislature, writing bills, etc.)? Yes most definitely as long as I can be in the regionally military as well.

6) Are you interested in general community discussions? Yes I'll try to get in them as much as possible.

7) Are you interested in serving as a diplomat or an ambassador to another region? If needed I can.

Are you interested in regional journalism (writing articles for inclusion in regional publications)? I don't think I'd be interested in journalism.

9) Are you interested in creating graphics for the regional website? No thanks.

10) If you have any other interests you'd like to pursue in the region, please tell us about them! We can make just about anything happen as long as people are interested in doing it. Well I think this regions pretty cool already and you guys are probably busy.

My name is Thomas in real life I'm 14 and I'm born in Saigon, Vietnam. I am half Vietnamese, a fourth English, and a fourth German. So that was a little about me hope it helps.

Welcome to Wintreath, @Albertae! My real name is Jason, and as the Monarch of the region I hope that you enjoy your stay here. @Point Breeze should be around to assign a mentor to you soon.

I'm curious...did you give up games entirely?

I actually did remove myself from playing Eu3-4 and Civ 5 because I was getting so addicted that it was getting in the way of my school work and I couldn't let that happen so yes. The same thing with minecraft as well.

I see...so without games, what sort of things do you do now other than schoolwork?

Well I really haven't been able to do much other than school work and I do try to fit in some time for games like this and other games on my iPad like World Warfare which I must say is a splendid game.

I will be able to be more active however since it isn't testing season yet so that's good.

Well, it hardly seems balanced, but who am I to judge?

In any case, I hope you'll poke around and explore the region! Just post wherever you like and jump right on in...that's the best way to go.

Yeah I know it's not very balanced but I need to get into a good college and become an engineer or else I will most likely upset my dad since his whole bloodline was some sort of engineer. But there is always room for change and also about being the regional military how would I get into that? And can I do Political expenditures as well?

It almost sounds like your life is planned out...must be quite stressful at times.

To answer your questions, there are two wings to our military, the Skydande Vakt and Hvitt Riddaral. The Skydande Vakt is our 'piling force', which means they're the ones that come in and reinforce a position once held. This means that they move a nation into a specific region and provide a WA endorsement to specific nations. Because of the supporting nature of these missions, they are open to all Citizens, and these missions are posted in the Civil Service forum. Once you complete five of these missions, you can apply for a promotion to the Hvitt Riddaral, which is our 'update force'...the Hvitt Riddaral performs time-specific update operations, so unlike the Skydande Vakt you have to be available during game update, have access to our military IRC channel, and be able to move a nation at a very specific time given by the mission lead. If you have any other questions, @Chanku is in charge of the military and can help you get started.

You can also do political things...the easiest way to get started is to get involved in the debates in The Citizens Platform. Underhusen election are every two months and you can participate in those, and if you show interest and ability in one of the Executive areas, you could always be appointed to a Cabinet position.
