Here we are! A great way to start the season. So my reasoning behind this is simple, really... This act is almost solely used by Chanku, who ran for election anyways and didn't get in. Weird that he gets to comment here. But more importantly, with the advent of the citizen discussion threads it's really totally unnecessary that he or any other theoretical member of the eventual royal family gets to talk here. Just unnecessary. The royalty must not walk in the house of the people. Simple as that. Chanku must wait like every other citizen... And Wintermoot can choose to speak once things hit the Overhusen or in the Citizen's thread, like everyone else.

The Act in Question

1.This bill shall be cited as the Monarch-Underhusen Rights Removal Amendment Act!
Amendment to the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen.
2. This act shall modify section 12 (a) of the procedural rules of the Underhusen which currently reads:

(a) All members of the Royal Family shall have a standing invitation to speak before the Underhusen.

I have amended the Act In Question.

Is this really necessary? Considering that the Monarch has actual business in the UH, a move like this seems....unnecessary. Plus, can we wait until we have a speaker before we propose acts?

Perhaps instead of removing it in its entirety, why don't we amend it so there's no abusing of power? As North pointed out, the Monarch actually has business here. It's Chanku who likes to waltz in here and talk.

The speakership election comes to mind. And if the speaker resigns.

Sounds good to me, I'll amend the bill at a time less, five hours before I have to wake up...

I would consider voting for restricting only the Royal Family. I still think it is unnecessary and unlikely to pass the Overhusen but I wont vote against it.
