Hi, my name is North and I'm running for Underhusen! If elected, I promise to raise the dark ones and to... wait, sorry, wrong election.

Why am I running? To bring a new face and a fresh set of eyes to Wintreath's Government. I feel that I would make a great addition to the Underhusen. So with that, lets make Wintreath great again! Wait, that's taken already.....

Honestly? I'm against it. The idea of picking only Overhusen and Skrifa members as judges is a bit... sketchy in my mind, especially if a plaintiff or defendant is a member. I know that the monarch picks at random and never anyone who is part of the case but who is to say that someone may not be biased in favour of a colleague? In the end my problems are more philosophical than anything else and I can understand the thinking behind the current system.

I know. That's why I said I could understand the reasoning. But my opinion stands, I understand it but don't like it.

If you mean the fundamental laws, then no, not really. Other than the recall election laws ( I think its a tad to hard to recall, if I had been the author I would have it so that any citizen may request a recall but that only people who voted may sign the petition but that's a pedantic opinion, I know) the fundamental laws seem sound and I would not try to change any of them, including the recall election part.

Ah. Well, from the laws that I've seen nothing that passed seems particularly objectionable, so again, no, I don't really have a problem with any recent laws except maybe the Judicial Issue Resolution which my objection to is more philosophical than anything else. So to answer your question, not really, and I wouldn't push to have any of the laws I have seen repealed.

Would you be in favour of the creation of a referendum system to allow the citizens of Wintreath to have a way to address something without it having to go through the UH/OH system?

No, I don't think a referendum system is necessary here and I believe that it might politically fatigue the citizens if they had to vote on every single issue.

Technically there's already a referendum system...it's non-binding, but if we were to have one the result would be recorded on the law page.
