Welcome the Conference! I thought it would be a good time to review our relations with each region and determine how we should handle them going into the future...we may also discuss any regions we want to establish relations with. I'd like for everyone to be a part of this process, so if you have thoughts on any region please post them.

I could mention my region of origin, The Revolutionary Council. They attract a very specific following, and are much more political, and consequently would be right at home in the Citizen's Platform, or the serious debates we sometimes have. Their founder, with whom I had a bit of a row when I left their while in my second term as their WA Delegate, has recently contacted me via PM inquiring about the possibility of establishing relations with Wintreath.

Is that a course of action you'd recommend?

Potentially, but I'd first monitor the situation in their region first. It seemed like someone was attemtping a coup when I last checked up on them.

The British Isles, is well, dead.

They have been trying to hold on for quite some time, but the 1-2 Post Per Day average isn't helping them one bit.

Mordor is normally pretty quiet in most areas, so I never expect too much with them.

The North Pacific is always lively, with it being a GCR.  The people there continue to be very friendly and inviting, and I enjoy taking part there occasionally when I do.  I think the Gov interview made a bit of a ripple, but it was mainly Lord Ravenclaw that tried to stir it up.  He seems like he enjoys doing that.

10KI is always very lively as well since it's an older region.  I think it's by far the liveliest of the regions that I'm ambassador to, although Albion is proving far lively as well, even though I'm there as a foreign tourist/citizen rather than an ambassador.    They're very welcoming to new members, though they have some pretty strict standards if you're wanting to be a citizen.

Allied States (Formally Allied Republics) is about the same level as Mordor, but they're also a small region.  They're active-ish, but they're nowhere on the same level as TNP and 10KI.  They're also very welcoming to new people, so I enjoy being a part of their region.

Do you have any recommendations for any of those regions? Like if we should try for treaties or drop relations or anything?

As far as Mordor, I talk to its founder outside of Mordor frequently, since he plays Werewolf all the time on 10KI, so even if the region itself is a little more quiet (active-ish, but at a low level), there's still that fact.

WIth AR/AS, I don't like the idea of dropping relations so early on.  I know they're still working on building themselves up, and I'd want to wait until they were completely dead before considering it, which they're not even close to at this moment.

I think at the moment, just keep seeing how things are, and occasionally checking on the activity is the best we can do.  They're not at alarming inactive levels yet, so it's still fine.

AR/AS haven't sent us an ambassador have they?

I think we should keep an eye on The Versutian Federation. I recently discovered that my Halo clan, which I thought was gone, simply changed their web address, as they have done a few times over the years. One of its original members, a good friend of mine that I highly respect, just became the delegate of VF and he tells me he intends to get things going there once more. Apparently he's been a member for a long time. If/when things improve over there, they might make for a region we can have good cultural stuff to do with.

I know for a fact that BI is a ghost town. The people are cool but we'd just be wasting resources on them.

I'm sure I have a few others in mind but due to my recent seizure and a cold my nephew has been spreading throughout the house, I'll need to sleep off the headache before making further suggestions.

I just checked BI and it seems they're considering disbanding the region or becoming a colony of another region...not a very optimistic state of affairs over there. =/

Versutian Federation has been dead for a long time, but if they can get going again maybe they could be a region to watch.

Not that I recall.  I can ask one of the admin about that one.

The Coalition of Democratic Nations offsite forum is pretty dead, but they're a fairly active region and I did get a few posts in the Q&A a while back.  They seemed genuinely interested and promised to check out the Summer Festival.  They made a remark like, "Why would you want us there?  We're not very good at this regional ally stuff" and I replied that this would be an excellent opportunity to turn over a new leaf.  Unclear if any leaves have been turned.

The INWU's forums are in a similar state, but their RMB is constantly on fire.  They have embassy posting enabled, so I advertised the festival there, and I had trouble finding my posts minutes after I made them.  They were pretty excited about it, and they've sent tourists to Werewolf games as well.  El Fiji Grande seems to love us, for some odd reason. 

In sum, I think both are great partners.  I'm not as up to date on Gameplay as I used to be so I'm not sure if either of them are involved in any nastiness, but I honestly doubt it.

I don't think anyone came to the festival from there, but in fairness it's hard to get people from another region in general. Do you think there's anything we could do to improve relations with them, or encourage better community ties?

Why is love for our region odd?

Their new delegate also plays in our Civ V games, and I know that he's been inspired to do his own Summersend-like festival for the autumn...he was asking questions in one of our Civ games about how we got people from other regions to come and all that. Where do you see relations going in the future?

I think INWU is technically defender, but I haven't' heard anything bout either region...I'd say you're right.

We should probably review relations with the RIA. Either have them send a new delegate or end relations with them. It's been three months since we got any information from them. We might wanna bump them down to consulates for a bit. Further review our relations with TSP, UK, TNP, and New Hyperion as their consulates haven't been active recently. I'd also suggest reviewing those that haven't done anything since June, but that can be put off.

I suggest talking with Mordor for getting a new Ambassador or cancel relations. The GRA is also somewhat inactive/dead at the moment (At least the last I checked. The forums are so fucking slow for me so :|) so we can probably end relations with the GRA for the time being.

Edit: Note this is just an overview for our end of stuff. I haven't actually checked the regions themselves.
