 In 198 The Silkiness of Dimensions destroyed the last fortress of The Bridges of Plunging, Dikeinch, killed and mutilated the new queen and our general and left us with nothing. Burned our home, stole our wealth. We saw children dead in the street as we fled the final last stand of our once great civilization.Now we are back for revenge, 50 years later. Our greatest enemy is Xob Webnightmare, the gopher fiend, who since the year 4 has made the systematic genocide of our race his goal. We will destroy him or dwarves on this continent will cease to exist. We are the last stand of our kind here. Commonpicks, strike the earth.

Anybody on the forums can request to be dwarfed, which means a dwarf will be named after you! Once you are given a dwarf, you can RP as them in their daily lives, and as they react to events in the fort, or just sit here and watch them get mauled
If your dwarf dies you can be redwarfed! Just ask!

How do I apply to play?

What time-frame do I have once its my turn?
You should accept your turn within 48 hours and play it within a week.

Well, we've all arrived in one piece! Not a scratch on anyone, and I can be thankful for that much. I'm a doctor by trade, but it's still terrible to see anybody hurt. The site looks much different then we envisioned. Well, the site itself looks fine, its the wildlife rather....



Well, giant wrens or not, its what we have. Hugsim has picked up her trusty wooden axe, how she cuts trees with it is beyond me, but she is a woodcutter by trade! And a mason, you think she would be a carpenter, but we needed a mason so I'm not complaining. She seems to be a wonderful person, and we got along well during the trip.

Wintermoot and North are plotting out the site of the fort. The two are good friends, apparently they they worked in the same mine in a human hamlet after The Shattering. They are planning a central staircase, which seems like a good idea.

HannahB is insists that they dig out a farm first, which isn't a bad idea. We do need to get a secure food supply and fast, we were fortunate enough to have plenty of seeds to plant, and a quick survey of the area finds dirt deep enough for plant plump helmets, the little purple mushrooms that are going to be our staple crop. We are going to be so tired of plump helmets soon. HannahB is a very odd character, she is a thrill seeker yet isn't given to flights of fancy. Its a very odd conflict, perhaps she should try to change herself, I'm nobody to be talking about that though, I'm a doctor not a psychiatrist!

Chanku is mostly preparing to haul things around, we aren't going to have any weapons or armour for him to make for a while. Wonderful to have a smith with us though, so few dwarves have remembered the craft after 50 years without a nation to call our own. He seems like a very nice person to have around, perhaps he can find another job to do in the mean time.

Govindia is also a very interesting, he is a carpenter and engraver, and is absolutely obsessed with cats! I fear to think of the fortress covered with engravings of cats, but there were no less quirky people available to fill both needs.... Still, we brought 4 with us, which should keep him happy, and hopefully reduce the amount of cats on the walls when we could be recording much more useful events.

Well, with that, its time to get down to business. The rest apparently elected me of all people as our Expedition Leader! I do hope I can serve us well.

I am definatly in for playing a year, sounds like it will be fun.
