I don't know that there's anything to actually debate, but I thought it was some good news and I wanted to post it here.

Well it's a great real-life discussion, which is also what this area is about.

I think it's a good move on the White House's part, though I'm worried what will happen if we end up getting an ultra conservative president (or just one that doesn't groove with the transgender thing).  I'd hate for this news to be short lived.  :\

White House civil servants are always vulnerable to the change of administrations, but in this case it's possible the new leadership won't want to do anything for fear of the negative reaction it would get. Besides, I have a hard time believing an ultra-conservative candidate could actually win a national election.

Hence why I added the parenthesized bit to it as well, since it's more than likely we won't unless everyone decides to vote for the Trumpinator for some odd reason.
