I wish I was shorter.

Granted! You are now really short! In fact, so short! Oh, I think I can see you down there... just. Perhaps you can travel in my pocket... oh well, at least you can walk over the keys when typing on the Wintreath forums!

I wish I had wings.

Granted. But they're held together with glue and when you get too close to the sun the glue melts and you die.

I wish for Fish.

You get three fish upon your dish! However, they are all great white sharks and still quite alive. While mostly concerned with the fact that they can no longer breath due to the lack of water, their thrashing and biting and mad rage is enough to make quite a mess of your kitchen. Their rotting corpses are extremely hard to explain to the people you get to help clean it up.
Also your magic wishing dish is broken.

I wish for world domination!

Granted, but the human population has already left to colonise the galaxy.

I wish the Roman Empire still existed.

Granted, they decide to crucify you for fun and frivolity.

I wish I had a piano.

A piano falls on you. It is yours.

I wish I had a superpower! That I could use to travel wherever I wish, just by thinking about the place!

Granted. You thought of being on the Sun and experienced self-immolation.

I wish that plants were sentient.

Granted.  The plants realize things you've done to others of their kind in the past and exact their revenge upon you, as well as the rest of the human race.  Plants now rule the world, and humans and animals are extinct.

I wish I could visit Italy.

Several years from now, on a layover flight to Greece, you land in Italy and get a shot glass with a picture of Italy on it. It's the last time you visit Italy, as your plane crashes on the way to Greece.

I wish I could maintain focus when working!

Granted! In fact, you maintain so much focus that you can't focus on anything else, and spend the rest of your life working and working and working and working and...

I wish I could have a glass of water.

Granted, you COULD have a glass of water, if you would get up and go get one.

I wish for the perfect wish!

Granted, but the price of getting that perfect wish is being transfigured into a mouse, and are banished to a mouse hole.  Two years later you get caught in a trap while getting cheese and are eaten by a cat.

I wish that I owned a Death Star.

Granted, you appear on a Desth Star and in full command of all its personnel and abilities. Mere moments later it is destroyed by rebels and you along with it.

I wish for free pizza!

Granted. However, the pizza is contaminated and by eating it, you acquire food poisoning.

I wish that time would slow down.
