Most of you know me, and my campaign is more or less the same.  For those of you who do not, I am Govindia.

I am a candidate for the Underhusen, and I have been on NS since 2004.  In that time I have served in various positions, from a government minister to an executive, including serving as a legislator and a justice.  I have also been serving in many defender forces before I was invited to join Wintreath by @Wintermoot, where I seem to now find my new home.  Here I have served in the Wintreath Hvitt Riddaral and also a term as Skrifa earlier last year.

Let me explain about about how I will do things if elected as a Skrifa through a new campaign, where I will be RACIST! 

Now before you ask, here's what it stands for.

Respect - I've learned a lot about myself in this region the past few months, and even while being the oldest active person in this region in both NS and RL, one still can be humbled.  As a Skrifa, not only will I be professional and civil with others, but I will make sure everyone here is treated with respect.  Everyone here is a human being and deserves basic respect and courtesy.   Regardless of how I may be treated, I will do my best to be civil with others.  I have been a patient person before, and I can do so again.

Action - We have recently noticed there has been a lull in activity in the Underhusen, and in some parts of government, even before the Summer Slump began.  As Skrifa I can guarantee to you I will be active daily and check on forum posts and what's going on at least once a day.  I will always be available to speak via PM, and usually on IRC if I am needed. 

Character - I have a strong sense of honour and character.  I will keep to my commitments, and I will make sure people's voices are heard.  I will also push for transparency and make sure the region's active citizens are well informed of what is going on. 

Integrity - I will never be dishonest as Skrifa and I will do my duties in line with the laws of the region, and I will uphold them to the best of my ability.  I am direct and I say what I mean and I mean what I say.  I will say it now, and I mean it, and I mean I will get my commitments done as Skrifa, any commitments assigned to me.

Strength - I will be strong in my resolve.  I will stick to my principles, stand like a rock, but on other matters I will swim with the current.  I will compromise where it is reasonable, but never surrender when defending Wintreathian interests.

Teamwork - I will work with all the other Skrifa to help make this coming term an active one, so we can get the necessary legislative work done, and compromise where necessary.  I am a reasonable man when something is presented to me in a reasonable way in a reasonable timeframe, to paraphrase my Database professor from University.   No amount of experience from one person will single-handedly get the work done in the legislature, and that's why we have to all cooperate as a team, and I will do my part, and encourage my other colleagues, if elected, to do the same.

So vote for Govindia, to be RACIST, for the Underhusen!

I wanted to change things up, to make people think.  It is ironic and I think rather a slightly witty way to explain my campaign. 

It did get your attention I see, and that's what I had intended.  I ask @Vinaza to look at my campaign and see what I have to offer, and not necessarily at the acronym.

Since it seems to be a common thread throughout a couple of other campaigns (and since it's one of my main areas of interest) what is your stance on judicial reform?

It has been stated that you have lost ambassador positions at least twice (or three times, as I have heard). As such how can the citizens be sure you won't fall inactive as has occurred in the past or as has occurred to others?

You didn't address my concerns, though my question, albeit, was an implied one. You wanted wit, you got unnecessary attention drawn to your quote as opposed to your various stances. Unwarranted attention. Chanku's mentioned concerns are ones I share as well.

I wanted a slogan using humour, albeit politically incorrect humour, with a bit of irony, and I wanted to spell out the attributes behind the acronym.  Each of the words that follow the acronym ring true to my campaign goals.  I wanted to stand out from previous campaign attempts while still explaining my goals.   Feel free to ask any more questions you may have

I know I am subject to recall if I fall inactive.  However, now that I have greater access to both my PC and my phone, I am able to access the forum at least twice a day, and as my post count shows elsewhere, I have definitely increased activity in the past few months since the last election. 

I was not able to maintain my ambassadorships, regretfully, due to RL taking me away while I was struggling with some RL issues pertaining to housing and other personal issues.  The other region I lost due to internal conflicts and inactivity in Madrigal.

My stance on judicial reform was that, there needs to be a judicial branch of government, as a check on the executive and legislative branches of government.  When I first did my attempt to propose a standing judiciary, people did not like the idea of elected justices that stand for months at a time with possibly no cases during the time period, and wanted a court where it could be called on when the time arises, then disbanded. 

I'm in favour of that, however, I feel there still needs to have some reasonable way for due process and impartiality without the other branches of government interfering.  Weissreich and others had made proposals and this is going to be a slow work in progress.  I am open to other ideas, but I am firmly committed to judicial reform, because I feel that is something that is needed.

My campaign title in the thread even said to read first before assuming.

That's why I chose that slogan.  I also wanted to see if people would actually read my campaign before coming to a judgment
