I did wonder where you were at...a Civ game without you is so rare.

The games are still at 4PM Eastern, just on Saturday instead of Sunday.

Thanks that should be fine for me, so long as the 4 hour time limit is still in place, if not, would it be OK if I signed off after 4 hours anyway?

Either way, I'll be around next Saturday, should be fun, I have been practising!

Hannah won via point victory against me and North in the latest game.

From my end, my performance was pretty much shit...I struggled with barbarians for 30 turns, had to take out 15 turns to build units it handle them, and ran into every problem from lack of gold to unhappiness. I didn't even get a religion founded until 1500, and just...every incompetency imaginable. It was a fun game, but I should've turned in a better performance...

Next game will be next Saturday at the same time.

I think my issue is that I'm focusing too much on wonders...I'm going to have to take a hard look at the wonder list and determine which ones I really want to pursue and which ones aren't worth the time I could be constructing buildings and units...

Ah well. It was a good game. Hope I'll be there next time. Also, have you ever thought of using skype? Just a thought.

I don't have Skype, but I've found the Steam messenger Voice Chat function usually works fine, and is easier to manage due to the ability to open it up in Shift-Tab

Anyway the game: I thought I did pretty well for once I have practised quite a bit and have a reasonable build order set-up in my head now, so I try to see what the other players are doing and adapt my strategy to cut them off a bit... Sure it's a little meaner than how I normally play, but the more competitive style I have found has benefited the way I play quite a bit.

Also about the Wonders Wintermoot, that last game might have been a bad example, I had a population lead in my capital, and was watching to see what you normally aim to build and tried to cut you off with that so that may have clouded how you saw it there.

You played a good game, but you didn't make me run out of gold or go into unhappiness...those are issues with my own fundamental game. I also think I waited too long to definitely deal with the barbarians, which I just got unlucky with this time around.

Was there a game last week, or did I miss it? Also, will there be a game next week?

We ended up not having a game, since you were the only person that was interested and was available.

I'm considering moving the games back to Sunday, because Saturday seems to be even worse...what's everyone's thoughts about it?

I'm afraid I have been really busy recently, but its been personal stuff, in reality I can't really feasibly make the old Sunday time for the foreseeable future... However I should theoretically be able to make the Saturday occasionally, as such I would personally like it to remain on Saturday...

How about both?

I don't think there's enough interest to do two games a weekend, and to be honest I wouldn't want to host and play the same game two nights in a row. We would need a lot more people to make that work I think...

Would making the games earlier on Sunday be better, or would Saturday still be preferred (or earlier on Saturday?)
