Mind if we can have a clairification of what will be done for this game?

Logged into FFXIV to my FC going "we'll get you to 60 today!"
Could take a while, so, I'll be cheering you all on from region chat!

Since I won the last game, technically it's up to me the set the sittings.

I'm willing to try start bias being on, but I'm putting my foot down on keeping raging barbarians.

Based on some issues we've had with games going long, I've decided to adopt some measures in games that I host to make them go faster. From now on, there will be a ten minute "grace" period at the starting time for people to join the game, at which point games will start with whoever is there. If you don't manage to get in on time, I"m sorry, but the times are decided in advance and there's no excuse for missing. Also, I'm turning the turn timer down to 1:15 from 1:30. I hate to do this, but the purpose of having a longer timer was because some turns you just need to do more...but when someone is running out the turn timer every turn, it makes the game drastically longer. Finally, games will end after four hours...if nobody has won at that point, the person with the most points will win via point victory.

I'm glad that so many people want to play Civ, cause it's a game I love, but a game that drags out isn't as fun, and I think three hours should be a reasonable amount of time to conclude the game (with an extra hour of padding for overruns). We have people from a lot of different timezones, including later timezones, and I want for as many people to be able to play and finish our games as possible.

I've gotten Civ 5 to work! I'll be able to play next time! Venish will rise!

Awesome! Our next game will probably be next weekend sometime.
