Alright.  I'm new here, but I'm definitely not shy.  I was told to jump into the general discussion, and this was the first thing I saw, so I figured this was as good a way as any to kind of introduce myself to you guys.  So, I suppose the name already covers this, but feel free to ask me anything!

I am so glad you're putting yourself out there...a lot of new people get shy or intimidated, and we never see them after they post their Citizenship app. It's sad cause...well, as close-knit as we are here, we need new friends to become an even better community...but enough of my reflections.

I suppose first thing first! What are you looking for in NationStates and from your region?

@Wintermoot - I love politics and roleplaying, so I suppose I'm looking for some combination of those.  As we discussed, I'm pretty keen on learning more about families on NationStates.  I've heard they're insanely hard to keep track of.

@Govindia - Yes!  And proudly so!

@Laurentus - My name is German.  In High German, it would be pronounced AH-nuh-LEE-zuh, but the regional dialect my parents speak pronounces it more like uh-nuh-LAY-zuh, so that's how I like it!  Though it's always interesting for me to think about names being in certain languages, since they are the same no matter what language I'm speaking.

Ah, I thought so. As a South African, we learn High German at school (if we choose to learn German at all), so it was strange to see you describe the pronunciation in that way.

How do you find life in America as someone of direct German descent?

I was born in the States, and only lived a few years of my life in Germany, though I usually go there over the summer.  It's definitely a different culture.  I'm not going to say I prefer one over the other, since I think a place is what you make of it.  I wish belief in the old gods was more prevalent in the States.   They're pretty legit!

What do you think of the welcome responses you have received in your intro/citizenship thread?

I appreciate all the German!  I actually understood everyone, so that was great!  Everyone has made me feel quite at home.

That's good   I didn't see you respond to anyone else much or anything, nor say anything about my or Laurentus's attempt at German , so I was curious

I do! I work as a content marketing specialist at a Charlotte based firm.

Have you seen Hardhome yet?

Um... Duh.  I have HBO Now just for GoT.
