A Call to Arms in the Liberation of Lazarus

Greetings and Salutations, Wintreans.

As you know from Royal Decree 009, the region of Lazarus, our treaty ally, has been fighting a coup and invasion that was orchestrated by the New Pacific Order. In an unexpected but secretly planned event, Lazarus has been liberated by Kazmr, who as part of a secret plan joined the NLO and gained their trust only to return the region to the legitimate government when they placed him in the delegacy. However, this is not over yet. There are plenty of NPO supporters in the region, and we must keep Stujenskey from re-seizing the delegacy during the next few updates.

Therefore, I am making a call to all Citizens and friends of the region to support the liberation! Supporting the liberation is simple!

1) Join the World Assembly on a nation and move it to Lazarus. Please don't use your Citizenship nation in Wintreath, make another nation instead if you only have one.

2) Endorse Kazmr.

3) Post here with the nation you have done this with. I'll see about getting a badge or some kind of reward for Citizens that support the liberation.

Definitely did not see this coming.

Well, I'm a citizen of Laz as well, but I like medal.

I've had my WA, Nyan Legacy[/nation] in Lazarus for a few days.

To add to Wintermoot's original post, it's being asked that everyone endorse Kazmr, but also Funkadelia, Courlany, and Harmoneia.

I will echo someone's thoughts in that this seems a little unusual.  Stu apparently left the region just in time for Kaz to get steal the Delegacy from him.

But apparently Yao left conveniently in time as well, from what Loftegen is saying.

I do hope that Kaz not being actually part of the NPO/NLO is true, and that this isn't something to give us false hope that Laz. is actually liberated. 

Their leaving the region was part of a tactic called 'slingshotting'...basically, you move to a region that's already updated so that your own nation doesn't update, then return after the region has updated. This allows you to 'surf' the update, put someone else in the delegacy, and preserve your own endorsements so you can return next update.

This tactic was used twice before to allow Yao and The Sweet Leaf to use their influence to banject more nations.

I don't see how
1. Giving up the delegacy and significant endorsements
2. Clearing the ban list, allowing all Lax natives home
3. Boosting LUS morale this much
...can = NPO still on top. This is about at real as it gets, I think.

Moot ninja's me there. It makes more sense now.

In short, the PRL got lucky. It's fortunate that they had someone that was both willing and able to go through with this plan convincingly. This could have been a long, long, fight whose outcome was uncertain at best.

The good news is that these events have exposed many issues that effected the security of Lazarus, and I expect those to be fixed soon.

Really though, it's a security issue that could happen in most places.  Hell, it could even happen on here if we weren't careful enough.  Though thankfully we've got a good team of people to where I don't see something like that happening to us anytime soon.

Update surfing... Damn I need to up my game on this game :p Good to see Lazarus tentatively back in allied hands. Here's hoping it'll stay that way - whatever contacts I have on the NLO side are scarce and difficult to communicate with without prompting suspicion, especially considering my efforts to get close to HiComm.

Only if the Founder is active, which thankfully ours is.
