Welcome!
It is I, Doctor Reon World, persistent Citizen and all around embuggerance.
This is my topic in which I will hold not only my goals and explaining them to the public but also answering questions given to me here. Shall we begin?
I have identified some major problems with the Storting/law and one that I hope I can get the grace and support to deal with with others.
1. Our law is functionally terrifying and broken.
Should our law be required to actually function then almost all of the power in it would be held by one man. That man, strangely enough, is not the Monarch. No, it isn't even the Winter Nomad. No, the power is held by the speaker. A fairly undesirable job given to one person in the underhusen by the underhusen. A job that has various times slipped between people and been thought of as an unpleasant job is actually the most powerful position in the entire region. And this has never been an issue.
Not only that but our law has many many loopholes and inconsistencies, in language, in process, in meaning... It is a destructive and poorly written little thing and it really doesn't do much of what one might expect something like the law to do.
2. Our law has no purpose.
The last problem covered that if the law did need to function it wouldn't. This problem is related to that see...
Our law has literally never been required to function. We appear to have law solely for the purpose of having law. Which is... Weird. Like I don't know that seems like a weird idea. Don't quite know why we have it... We certainly get awfully angry about it all the time and sit there and think about it all the time and we have these elections about it all the time and we poke and we prod at it all the time... But it doesn't actually... Do... Anything.
Like we literally don't even have laws for passing laws and yet we've been doing it for more than a year which is... Weird.
So yeah... YOUR QUESTIONS PLEASE!
I'm an awfully likable unlikable person and I would love to field your questions so... HAVE AT THEE!
