Debate 3: Threats to Wintreath
As our region grows, expands, and hopefully prospers, what do you feel are the potential threats our region will face, either internal or external, and what solutions will you offer to resolve them? Do you feel our greatest threats will be internal in nature, or external?

As any region will face, when they grow large enough, spying and possible election fraud. The only thing we can do is look for shady behavior, and we go on from their. Internally, I can only see some bickering, we're not Osiris, changing what the government is every half year. We can only pass legislation that makes such things illegal, and clearly define what happens when this does happen. Of course I feel our greatest threat is external.

I still need to answer the second one, I believe... but anyways, here goes:

I think, as Horse said, the Underhusen will need to take an active role against this kind of stuff, and the biggest factor will be passing legislation which makes spying and fraud illegal. The Underhusen can't stop there, though. Members ofnnhe Underhusen may be granted access to sensitive information, and members should actively try to ensure they hold themselves to a higher standard.

As we have an active founder that probably isn't leaving (wintermoot, don't leave), I'd say our worst threats come from the inside. Our elected officials should be held accountable for their actions, so nobody pulls a Cormac.

I believe that external threats are more likely to happen to our region than internal ones. Growing as quickly as we are, we should pay close attention to our borders and be wary of spying and any sort of outside attempt to rig or tamper with our constitutional branches. However, I agree with my fellow candidates  that responsibles must be held accountable should something happen, whether internal or externally, and that as part of the Underhusen, it is our duty to pass legislation that prevents it.

What threatens Wintreath, wether internally or externally.

I think our possible threats are going to happen from within. With vast numbers, the lack of unity is a major problem. I think the King should throw a celebration of some sorts to get every one on the same page. Any person caught in the act of mutinying would suffer consequences. Spying and fraud, like previously stated, should be also be punished.

External threats could be other regions who feel scared and/or threatened by our rapid expansion. This would be dealt with the ever strong HR which I have complete trust in protecting this region. Just stay safe guys.
