If yes... why?
Evoker Wizard never made sense to me. The point of the Wizard is their versatility of magic. You can prepare illusions, enchantments, divinations, abjurations, picking whichever spells will solve the next day's problems. An Evoker Wizard... just does damage? Great, so it's a Barbarian, except without the HP or any armor. Oh, but it's magic damage? Great, so it's a typical Sorcerer, but with fewer spell slots. Seems like such wasted potential. DnD isn't World of Warcraft, 4th edition aside, there are so many more useful and creative things you can do than just treat every class like a DPS class. That's part of why I choose Bard almost every time, sometimes I'm the most effective character in the party without ever directly harming anyone.

Never underestimate the power of a battle cleric. Those guys are potent.
