I oppose the new voting system (and the lack of campaigning) so therefore I'm unable to give my votes. I can however participate in the citizen of the month vote.

Well, at least one branch of government is active and gives a shit.

I have to say, in my nearly two years in NS this has to be the sorriest legislative campaign I've seen in a region. I thought when I accused the candidates of not giving a shit at least someone would care enough to defend themselves, but the fact that nobody saw fit to even respond...that's even more concerning. It seems doubtful anything useful will come of the next Underhusen if they can't even be bothered to campaign for their own elections, and that's disappointing at a time when other parts of the region are active and working full-speed.

Not to disparage Pengu, who I think has been wonderful since his arrival in the region, but I feel Amalya deserves recognition for her contributions, which goes far deeper than mere action. She has contributed to the soul of the region by being the embodiment of what this region is and should stand for...open, honest, fun, strong, friendly, loving, and more. Without people like her in the community, the essence of what this region is would be lost, and no amount of activity can replace that.

I did not vote. Though that was because I felt it was entirely unfair. I manipulate the Underhusen and get in via popularity instead of actual campaign. I did it last run and I had planned to do it this time as well, as it actually occurs... But I do not actually support that method and do partially use it as a form of joke or a certain amount to my amusement and to prove the fallacy of the system. So I consciously decided not to vote in an election that was nothing but a popularity contest. It was not something I had any interest in contributing to anymore than I already have.
