Well, I got introduced to the game by a friend from another forum I frequent and since I more or less grew up with games like Civilization, Age of Empires, etc. I knew I had to try this. I am really looking forwards to working with all of you!

If you haven't already, take a few minutes to read the guide for new nations. It can help you figure out how to get started with just about anything you want to do. Frostbite Tavern is a great place to start in general, because it's light and casual roleplay and general discussion and you can get to know people without having to put yourself out there. As for things going on right at the moment, we're having a vote to determine the name of our future regional currency and holding nominations for the lower chamber of our regional legislature, with either of those things interest you.

By the way, you mentioned you grew up on Civ...we try to host weekly Civ V games if there's enough players around, usually on Saturdays. If that's something that interests you.
