Ok then let me set the mood again. the changeling remarks as the room then reverts to the previous barely green lit environment with the dust reflecting in a way similar to a hologram.

*a group of dust changelings gather together*

The people were truly confused being rejected for the ones they loved and spent so long to get home to....

*the dust changelings then use some kind of strange magic connecting them all by a web of energy*

They had no one but themselves to trust, enjoy, and care for so with this magic they bonded becoming one, a hive mind where 1 changeling was never alone without help or company, A collective dedicated to the survival of a people and good for the whole....

*the dust changelings then go off and begin to form a settlement in a small Sandy valley that resembles a  large castle with lovecraftian elements and a hive like structure*

They were able to accomplish so much building buildings with architecture that amazed the eye  with odd dimensions and interesting features...

*the scene switches to one of dust changelings hunting grand beasts to bring home to there families and harvesting the residual love left behind by there pony relatives*

They hunted and gathered enough to feed the growing number of mouths in the hive and roamed the paths they used to as ponies.

*the view changes yet again however as it appears that the changeling hunters are then ambushed by the ponies attacking them and ending with a lone survivor of the changeling hunting party*

However The ponies who they once cared for had grown resentment towards the changelings and attacked them while they hunted leaving barely no one left in the frey besides a lone changeling named Hibiscus, the field was bloody with bodies strewn across the place and scorched from the magic used by the unicorns against them...

*the dust settles back to the hive as hibiscus returns to tell the hive of the horrors she witnessed and the hive seemingly appears very agitated*

Hibiscus returned to the hive and told them of what she saw, this brought confusion to some, sadness to others, but one thing behind it all was blind anger and rage...

*the view then shifts to seemingly a unending army flying in formation and marching towards the pony kingdoms*

War was the only answer they needed to show they would not be pushed around and treated like monsters, so they readied themselves and in a great swarm moved to fight there once brothers and sisters.

*the dust changeling legion seemingly confronts a normal force sweeping past it, like a great creature the horde consumes all in its path every settlement is destroyed by the sun blotting horde leaving nothing but desolation and destruction in its wake*

No one could stand against them for they were many any changeling that died seemingly replaced by another identical one, They were so many in number they blot out the very sun with there winged bodies, all who stand in there path they enslaved, pillaged, or out right destroyed by the swarm...

*cut to a final city and then a great flash over the horizon as the changelings drop seemingly to the ground in pain before being executed *

However the ponies would not stand for it and in a still argued decision detonated a Magic bomb over the changeling hive city separating the hive mind from the fighting force,causing them to be unable to function and burying the remainder of the horde under radioactive rubble, and sand leaving the changelings to be believed to be defeated for centuries...

*the changeling yawns a bit before taking another break*

It appears we're taking a break. I wonder where Aubrey went to...it's been quite awhile and some of us are still waiting for our drinks!

And I have a question! Why green...why not purple, or lavender, or royal blue? I'm quite fond of royal blue.

Why green, Now that is interesting for there is many reasons the changeling horde has adopted this corrupted toxic green as its primary color....

1. It was originally the color of the magic that performed the ritual, It originally was a emerald green but when we were marked with this corruption it changed to a toxic corrupted green, most changelings have there magical abilities manifest in that shade...But some have managed other colors such as purples and blues.

2. Green looks good in the hives general pallet color for it compliments the lovecraftian architecture, the long tunnels that maze throughout the hive, and the glowing vats of DNA that we use to mix and change changeling breeds.

3. It is erie, otherwise it says something is not right like it is a ill omen or a lurching doom, Or it may suggest the horror of losing yourself to a corruption that snakes within your being

4. Green is the best for mind control, No joke green especially a toxic green has a higher degree of catching the eye drawing them unknowingly to the sight of it, But it is only effective after direct eye contact with a changeling.

5. It fits with the way we look truly as obviously we can change our form, But in all honesty are real forms are corrupted shells of what we used to be as i told you in the story, we had changed a lot more since then taking more reptilian if not insect like traits.

Hm...Are there any limits to the mind control thing you mentioned?

That depends on time of exposure, the longer it gets however the more control is acquired...

Seriously i could use some food, but yeah the downside being that the longer a individual is under the control the greater toll the body and mind of the individual takes, after several months usually a victim must be converted if they wish to survive. the changeling grabs her belly in pain waiting for some grub and other questions.

I wonder if it's possible for certain things to be immune to it. -I get up and I jump behind the counter and happen to find some food.- I found some food...-pulls then out and it turns out to be sandwiches- So yeah...no idea why there were back here but since Aubrey has disappeared, fuck it.

Of course certain things are immune to the effects of the mind control...

Very few things are immune,non-living organisms (non-organic species), creatures with ungodly mental will (lovecraftian horrors) and changelings are the only ones we know are immune to the effects...

Mmmmhhh meaty, Oh some creatures vary on how well they resist but eventually they either give in or break themselves trying to resist....

I mean they still have some degree of free will being it is more like indoctrination rather than mind control unless given a direct order. the queen waits for more questions as she continues to eat some of the most interesting sandwiches she finds.

"It gets hungrier as it speaks," PB said, fixing himself his own Irish coffee, before returning to his bar stool.  "If you're not going to eat those vegetables..." He finds a plate and begins to load it with the various greens the Queen discarded.  "The wifey's got me on a diet," he grumbles.
