I'm glad we're having a somewhat exciting UH election -- it's usually pretty boring.

Current results: Hugsim, Reon, Joshua and Denth directly elected, while Govindia, Ulkhak, Chanku and Tatte has to participate in a runoff for the fifth and final spot as a Skrifa.
The results are almost exactly the same as my last post since only one other person has voted since then. A remarkable thing I was alerted to by someone is that Hugsim has gotten a vote from everyone so far. The race in the back is still completely tied.

Considering that I wasn't here for any of the campaigning, I'd say I'm doing remarkably well. 

Also, some people have been changing their votes, so you might want to go back through the list and re-tally the older ballots.

I have been changing it whenever someone posts that they edited, but I won't go back through everything. The final count is all up to Wintermoot.

Govnindia and Ulkhak changing their votes was certainly unexpected, and it put them in a runoff by themselves instead of being in a four-way runoff. I think that this might be the first blatant evidence of strategic voting in the region.

Was there much debating at all? It is strange the run-up to the election is so quick but voting takes so long.

What's strange to be is Gov's blatant vote trading...at least to me.

The nomination and campaigning period is just as long as the voting, one week each.

Yes everyone knows that and that doesn't make much sense. There should be a lot bigger run up to the election, with more time for debate so everyone can see the candidates and a lot less time for voting.
