  • You don't have access to private votes though?
I will, every day for the next week until the election is finished, try to independently from the viewpoint from an observer try to interpret the election results available in the voting thread.

What point are you trying to make? he hasn't tried to interpret all the votes, private votes are completely ignored and therefore isn't a fair representation of what is going on.

  • You are also a candidate yourself in the election so drawing conclusions on other candidates is highly subjective.
It's a valid concern, but I'm trying to keep what I say in this thread independent. Please point out if you feel that I'm being partial.

Current results: Hugsim, Reon, Joshua and Denth directly elected, runoff for the fifth and last place held between Govindia, Ulkhak, Chanku and Tatte.
It's a very close race right now, with four candidates on the same number of votes tied for the fifth spot. It's also not far up to the two candidates above them, with Denth being only one vote ahead of the four-way competition and Joshua one vote ahead of Denth. No-one is safe yet.

In your original post you said "The biggest thing we can see so far is that Chanku and Govindia has hurt each other's chances to be elected after the fighting in their campaign threads."

Where have you got that from exactly?

  • Firstly, this is voluntary and he has absolutely no obligation to interpret all the votes (public and private).

Secondly, since he does not have access to private votes, he has already clearly stated that he will only be interpreting the election results available in the voting thread, in other words, the votes made in public.

With that in mind, it is obvious that Hugsim can only ignore the private votes and is only limited to providing a representation of the votes made in public.

Meanwhile, the commentary he provided can be viewed as personal opinion but judging from the difference in writing style for the first and second graphs, I dare say that facts have been prioritized.

I can only speak for myself, but I think I'm a pretty reasonable guy most of the time. In my case, his analysis was correct.

Well it makes sense.  People see two of the candidates fighting, and they're probably thinking that they wouldn't make good candidates if they can't even pretend to like each other, so they go for the other options.

There are plenty of other candidates with the same vote share. In addition, no research has been done in to why people voted the way they did so you can't draw conclusions. Considering he is in the election himself, it is nothing more than electioneering to help his own election chances and it should be seen that way.

People who are clueless about polling signing this off as independent commentary.

  • What's the problem with me still being in the OH? We reappoint after every single election... It's not a for life position... It's the same term time as a UH member...
You can't be in both......also why haven't you campaigned?  Curious.

  • Current results: Hugsim, Reon, Joshua and Denth directly elected, and Govindia, Ulkhak and Tatte in a runoff for the fifth and final spot as a Skrifa.
The competition looks very similar to yesterday, except that there's a three-way tie for the last spot instead of yesterday's four-way tie. Chanku is one vote behind and Denth two votes ahead of the tie. It's of course too early to count anyone off in this race, since there's four days left until the time is up.

Legally speaking you can be in both, and keep in mind that after the term is over he has to be re-appointed to serve on the OH again, and wintermoot doesn't appoint UH winners (or campaigners...with me as an exception)

That's definitely Denth supporting my overarching rule over the law by putting me in both the Overhusen and the Underhusen... What a bro. But I really don't need that power.

My exception was due to the fact that I lost the campaign, and no one says he won't be, however it is unlikely(I doubt anyone would have predicted my appointment into the Overhusen when that occured)
