The Queendom of Sampetrius, but it has been shortened to merely Sampetrius on the WA.

Nope; N/A

5) Are you new to NationStates?
I played a few years ago, but I only got far enough to poke at the daily two issues. So, I suppose I am, all things considered.

Central

7) How did you find out about Wintreath?
I was sent a recruitment message; it stood out from the rest and sounded nice and inviting.

Section II: Interests
Based on your answers, we will help you get involved in any aspect of the region that you are interested in! Indicating interest here does not commit you to joining any aspect of the region. You will be asked to sign up for relevant areas once you are a Citizen to confirm you still want to join it.

1) Would you like to serve in Wintreath's military, the Hvitt Riddaral?
Ooh, I'd definitely have to read up on it, see what military service entails for the nation, but I'm definitely interested.

2) Are you interested in joining the Civil Service?
However, in this, I'll sadly have to pass (for now!).

3) Would you like to be part of roleplays on the forums?
Of course! However, please forgive me if I seem a bit hesitant at first (or if I tend to lurk a bit); it's been a while since I've RP'd outside of a dedicated community (in-game, in GW2 or on forums dedicated to that; always with the same sort, though), so I might flail a bit in order to get my bearings. Fair warning!

4) Are you interested in joining a regional Minecraft server?
I have a Minecraft account, it just hasn't gotten much use. But, if you all have a server, I'll poke at that account once more. c:

5) What other interests do you have?
I'm fond of games, all sorts, but I tend to favor RPGs and survival horror. Actually, to say "fond" is diluting my love of them an incredible amount, I fear. I'm a lover of Russian literature and knitting. Once our schedules allow for it, my IRL friends and I like to play tabletops together.

Alright, I'm a filthy young'in, a college student as well as a librarian. Feel free to call me Jet (as my guildies call me) or Vinaza (the in-game handle I'll be using for Sampetrius' ruler once I get that many citizens; I'm terribly impatient). As I'm fairly new to the intricacies of the game, I ask that you have some patience with me. And if you have any questions about me, feel free to ask. Thanks for looking over my application and I hope that we can all have a lovely time together.

Jet...what an interesting name! How did your guildies come to call you that?

It's not a terribly interesting story; my main character's name is that, so that would pop up in guild chat when I'd type. Instead of calling me by my account name or something along those lines, that character's name was what people referred to me as (since I was oddly adverse to making any alts for about half a year; when I started making alternate characters out the wazoo, there was mild confusion over who the new names were, haha). It grew on me and stuck, so, there you have it!

Families are kind of a roleplay thing, but they exist all through NationStates. To create a family, just say you're starting one and create a name for yourself, or you can join an existing family if you're close to someone already in one and they'll adopt you.

Out of curiosity, what game was it?

Guild Wars 2! If you've got an account, awesome! I can have one more person to bother in-game. If not, there's a free trial currently going on at the moment (and it's 50% off; I'm not trying to sell you on the idea or anything, no no) if it looks like it'd be your thing.

Oh, and slight problem: clicked the RP link given to me and was directed to a page that told me that I don't have the proper permissions to view it. I'm able to access the other ones with no issues, it's just the RP board that I can't get to.

I've looked at Guild Wars 2, and it seems pretty awesome...the problem is it's a bit out of my price range, even at half off. I haven't spent more than $17 for a game in about a decade.

Haha, I understand that on some level; I got the game as a gift from a friend because you can't torrent MMOs.

Hmm...I guess I should find a friend to gift it to me!

I don't really torrent stuff, but I'm spoiled from Steam sales and I have such a backlog of games I could play it doesn't bother me to not by a game if I feel like it's too expensive. With things like a house and car payment, I can't really afford a large games budget.

Ahhh, my old Steam account was lost. For the life of me, I can't remember the name, and--unfortunately--customer assistance couldn't really help much in the way of that. So I remade my Steam and try to stay away from the sales. I usually get my games from GoG.com (Good Ol' Games, when they're available on there) or simply buy them from a local gaming outlet (I also tend to avoid GameStop; they're...hm) so that I can have a physical copy.
