  • In keeping with the last election, this topic is for asking questions of and debates between the Underhusen candidates! All Citizens are able to and encouraged to ask any questions which they want to address to all candidates here. :)

  • Where do you, the candidates, stand on the ever contentious issue of a permanent judiciary?

  • Personally I like how Wintreath does that. It's definitely different and I've never seen it like that before. I've never seen it used so therefore can't comment on its effectiveness. But I like how it's set up for now.

  • I'm curious to know...what other regions are the candidates involved in? And what are the candidates' stances on government members who are also Citizens of other region?

Also, to those candidates that hold dual-Citizenship by the OFO, what is your stance on Royal Decree 002, our treaty with Lazarus, and the actions Wintreath has taken in support of Lazarus during the Osiris-Lazarus war?

  • Due to this election sometimes being nothing more than a popularity contest, can all of the candidates outline, in detail, legislation they would bring forward if elected?

You are standing for the Underhusen, who's only role is to introduce, debate and vote on legislation.

  • Your response has me concerned, is transparency not of the utmost importance?

  • I don't see why it's a cause to be concerned. At some point or another you'll see it, will you not?

  • The question was asked now though. I'm not sure what you need to be so secretive about, it's not as if you're filing for a patent on some life changing invention.

Your lack of transparency I fear will translate into your term in the Underhusen.

You are standing for the Underhusen, who's only role is to introduce, debate and vote on legislation.
The first thing I will try to do is to increase the transparency in both chambers of the Storting, with easily accessible data about how the representatives of the chambers voted in the different proposals, for example a pinned thread with all previous votes.
I believe that it would make it easier for citizens to see how all representatives voted in the issues that they feel are important, so that they have an easier time voting for someone that better represents them in the next election.
I know that all UH vote-threads are in the archives, but it's hard to get a good overview of an individual candidate from 5-10 different threads.
There might be a good argument for why the votes of the OH aren't public, but I can't come up with it. I would be grateful if someone could tell me why.

So, you're on record as having refused to answer the question posed in a public forum?

    Interesting.
