There is less than 12 Hours until Destiny releases! Is anyone else getting it?

What is it?

Destiny is a new game developed by Bungie (the creators of the original Halo series)

Effectively you play the role of a guardian of humanity's last city. The xbox one beta was really enjoyable.

I am getting the Ghost edition for the 360.  Can't afford it for other stuff yet.

Quoting for posterity.

I would have described it more as a new mass effect then just a core shooter.

The Guardians are designed by you just like your shepard. Its intended for immersion so its more of an RPG with heavy combat/shooting elements just like Mass Effect had.

I just got off work so Ill be changing and heading off to pick up my copy. I probably wont get to play it until tomorrow since it has to install to the hard drive but thats the price we pay for next gen consoles.

Well Destiny loved up to the Beta experience. The only downfall is the servers getting assaulted by the influx of new players. Destiny in a sense is like an mmo since everyone is running through the same server and you can join fire teams to play together.

Unfortunately leave it to a company with no mass player experience like an mmo to not have done proper stress testing on the servers before day one launch.  I am pretty sure if I see Code Marion berry on my Xbox one more time I'll never play the game again (which is Destiny's "oops server connection is not working" code)
