A brief introduction to Awyyn:Awyyn is a massive unitary* Empire spanning the Awn Continent, The Archduchy of the Kieran Archipelago, the Duchy of Tovgorod, and the Aurelian Republic, as well as minor outlying territories. Awyyn is ruled by an absolute monarchy, with a ruling family that has reigned since the Empire's founding at the conclusion of the Unification Wars thousands of years ago. The native Awn, which comprise the majority of the Empire's population, typically live longer lives than standard humans with an average life expectancy of 450.
The Empire is comprised of various Administrative Zones. The Empire itself is divided into the Empire Proper (or Inner Empire) and the Outer Empire. The Empire Proper consists of the Awn Continent which is divided into Duchies, in turn subdivided into Boroughs. The Kieran Archipelago also exists as part of the Empire Proper and serves as its own Administrative Zone as an Archduchy under the immediate care of the Throne. The Outer Empire consists of all holdings beyond the Awn Continent. The Duchy of Tovgorod is a massive frozen land full of rich mineral ores. The Aurelian Republic was initially an independent state that became a Protectorate of Awyyn. After many years the republic has been absorbed into the Empire. While they maintain their democracy they are ruled over by an Imperial Governor who in turn answers directly to the Throne. (Meaning only their lower government is elected) While this may seem to be an occupation to some the Aurelians in fact voted to become a member state of the Empire and were by the grace of the Emperor given the right to organize a government of their choosing answerable to the Imperial Throne.

Organizations of Note:Imperial Humanitarian Aid Services (IHAS): Founded by the current Emperor as a humanitarian aid effort. Their duties are to provide relief and medical attention to areas and individuals impacted by natural disasters, war, or disease. They are equipped with a fleet of medical ships, ground vehicles, and air transports. They are Headquartered on a small Island off the Awn Continent completely owned and operated by the IHAS as a dockyard, airbase, supply depot, and medical and relief training center. There is also a large quarantine facility to study contagious pathogens and house individuals infected with viral pathogens.
Imperial Nightingales: The elite cyber intelligence and espionage task force of the Empire. Officially the Nightingales are a business consultation firm owned by Matriarch Orisno. Unofficially they are the spies and intelligence gathers of the Throne.
Imperial Bureau of Foreign Affairs: A new government branch headed up by Elder Hafwen Snowbrook. When the Empire ended its period of isolation the Emperor decided to establish this Bureau in order to open a venue in which to communication could be affiliated with foreign powers.
Imperial Crown Foundation: A foundation that handles the social investments of the Imperial Crown. Through it funding grants are administered to schools, parks, infrastructure, or for aid. Please note this is not the tax money of the people, but from the personal accounts of the Throne. Individuals or Nations seeking these Grants can request them.
