This roleplay is set in Ethysova, where the fictional empire of Marchosias was experiencing a decline of imperial power. Founded by Darkon of House Heinrich, Marchosias used to be one of the most powerful empires in the Realm. For centuries, Marchosias enjoyed peace and stability under the rule of House Heinrich. However, the untimely demise of Daegan, Seventh Emperor of Marchosias, would soon lead to a period of turmoil. Daylon, Eighth Emperor of Marchosias, succeeded the throne at the young age of twelve. Taking advantage of the newly crowned emperor's political inexperience, Gorden, then Commander of the Imperial Guards, assassinated Daylon and usurped the throne. Prompted by the murder of a legitimate emperor, Imperial Secretary Fabian secretly called upon the regional lords to aid in the overthrowing of the tyrant. The military coup succeeded with the deposition of the tyrant and appointment of Damian as the new Emperor. Devon, the regional lord who possessed the greatest military power at that time, appointed himself the Chancellor and wielded the entire power of the Imperial Court. This invoked the wrath of the people, resulting in the resentment of the entirety of Marchosias.

The world was plunged into chaos, but only then can heroes emerge. You, the roleplayers, are born into this period of chaos. Will you strive to rid the empire of traitors and restore the glory of the legitimate empire or will you seek eternal fame and glory by attempting to take the throne for yourself? The choice is yours.

Thanks. If anyone's interested to discuss, here are some discussion points.

- What roles would your character be taking?
(Example: A regional warlord who is seizing land to increase his power.)
(Example: A talented hermit waiting for the right master to serve.)

- Who would be interested to be the mapmaker and how the map should look like?

- Any suggestions for the names of the cities in this world? It would be important for both military warfare and on the negotiation table.

- How to determine which side loses in a battle?
(Suggestion: My idea would be for roleplayers to settle who would win or lose in the OOC thread first. However, if the roleplayers prefer to have a dice system and so on, I am fine with it.)

I'd be a peasant leading a revolt to remove all the current royals and warlords and replace them with my peasant buddies. As for deciding who wins, we could always leave it up to spontaneous roleplay without any agreed-upon winner beforehand!

That is an interesting role. I haven't thought of that. Does that mean you will become the bandit leader while your followers become bandits?

What kind of role? most likely a maid/servant or whatever. But I would be on either side really…players could vote on who wins what and I can come up with a few city names…

I have no mapmaking skills so I guess I will rely on google.
