It's very disappointing, but perhaps it's good that this happened now instead of later when more people were invested in it.

I'm not sure how quickly this will be resolved with Denth in France, but hopefully all will return to normal soon.

So, I have to admit to something...

I did steal some items. But not the ones you were talking about. I had just joined the server, and nobody else was on. However, it was night. There were several mobs, and I was defenseless. I couldn't stop to get wood or else they would kill me. So, I found a village-looking area (where LukasMC's house is) and I went in there so the mobs couldn't hurt me. By then I was at 4 hearts and I had only 3 hunger bars left. So, I looked to see if there was any food. I found one double-chest that had many potatoes and 24 carrots. I took 3 carrots, and, after contemplating about it, ate them. I am very sorry about stealing those carrots, although by what you guys are saying, it's not too bad. However, I still feel that some sort of punishment should be inflicted upon me. By the way, my Minecraft name is Ninjak2003. Again, I apologize for my actions.

Winter! I've been on many servers before on different PC's of course... The Admin or an OPed person can "lock" chests and claim land for people... that means; If you OPed yourself... theres an option in all servers to "claim land", if you put a chest in it no one else can open the chest except you, but with all the updates going off it's really hard to trust the OP. Just to let you know!!! Bye!

That's actually false, Admiral, it all depends on what plugins are on the server. A simple, pure vanilla one has no such feature

And Mojang has been pretty clear that this is on purpose...

I did say because of the updates the OP cannot be trusted, i meant when doing research on it after an hour =, they removed that feature after 1.9 BETA! It doesn't exist... anymore at-least, or will it. someone twitter Mojang! we need that implemented again!

I've been playing since Alpha, I have no recollection of such a thing. Then again, that was long ago and my memory sucks these days.

I don't remember it either... And I was playing then too...

There has been no official way to lock chests ever in minecraft. This was all done with Server plugins.

Well, it's comforting to know my memory isn't gone that bad in my old age
