Firstly, am I right in guessing your new avatar is Sir Richard Dannatt? Interesting choice.
Indeed it is, very good :P

I liked him for a period when he was critical of the government's axe wielding attitude towards the UK Armed Forces.

  • Is there anything you want to change about the laws governing Wintreath?

  • Interesting that you concentrated on all that. There isn't a mentor scheme currently in place and it's bad that I want to introduce one?

I can also create my own regional newspaper if I want to. There is no law against it?
You could create a regional newspaper, but technically the JoInfo could shut it down if they wished, it is their jurisdiction. In addition, you wouldn't need a law for this, just start one up. The purpose of the UH is to pass laws that will affect Wintreath.
And I'm not against a mentor program, but no laws will be needed, and as JoInt I don't need laws in my area. I'll get my job done, I don't need any laws to create a mentor program .

<+IH> There needs to be some constant to life that we can hold onto, something extremely difficult to find if we are constantly on the move.
<@Vidarr> I hold onto the constant of change
    <+IH> How delightfully paradoxical.

<@IH> Omega also suits you, it’s the symbol for electrical resistance.
    <@Delta> Are you saying I'm slow? :P
<@IH> You were a component (see what I did there?) of the resistance in Wintreath, were you not?

  • Ahh Stark :)

I feel like you get me most of the times :)
It's nice to see that much of enthusiasm in you, in embracing something new would change things a bit :)
These elections will definetely be, one of the greatest events that Wintreath will ever undergo :)

To be honest with you... acivity especialy by our newest citizens is what I am afraid Wintreath suffer....We see only the old dogs inside here :P As Alterra mentioned, in case you open a newspaper...it can easily be shutted down. And he is totaly right, but I guess with a little bit of a push, that can be arranged.

Now let's take the other side of the coin...How do you plan to get our new citizens, and especialy the fairly new ones to the game as well...to work there, when they lack the knowledge of the game mechanics?

And my second question: Are other activities such as meetings, festivals, games etc inside your agenda for the near future?

I would hope that nobody would shut down any piece of literature a citizen here created. That goes for me as well. I fully understand what my role as a member of the Underhusen will be but I also think any citizen can advance and improve the culture of Wintreath and that includes regional newspapers and articles.

I think establishing a mentor scheme to help all new citizens understand the mechanics and the history of Wintreath will be of paramount importance. It is also about creating an environment where new citizens feel, if they stay active, that they have opportunities to progress in the region and make a name of themselves. The friendly and informal style of community here will help that, as well as ensuring that citizens can be engaged with the political processes in the region. As I have spoke about previously in my campaign thread, I will use the Citizen's Platform to try and engage with new citizens who aren't in the legislature or in executive positions and gauge what they would like to see happen.

The continued progress of games and role plays is also important I agree. The work my brother Weissreich is doing for example certainly looks like a good start on that front.

I would argue there is exciting times ahead for Wintreath!

What kind of benefit will I get from having you in the Underhusen?

    Haha Underhusen pillow talk?  :P
