It's no secret that the RP community has faded recently. Maintaining a single RP is difficult enough, so we need to explore what the guild can do to bring activity back to what was once a pillar of activity in the region.

Gerrick and Doc each had quite a few ideas, and I have some of my own, but first I'd like to ask: what do you currently view the role of the Guild as being, and how has it lived up to your expectations? What do you feel the guild could do to help you maintain your RPs.

I'll share my thoughts on a few improvements we can make when I get home from work again tomorrow.

A founding RP is something that I have seen work well in the past. Usually they are used to 'start' a region's RP community, but re-starting shouldn't be much different? The idea behind a 'founding RP' is essentially writing the history of the region as far as roleplayed world-building goes. Throw the region's lore into the hands of the RP'ers and build the world we'll RP in from here on out?

That idea being given, I don't know your guys' history / lore / world for Wintreath, so this may be a moot point as is. Just a thought though.

Regional RP lore is always interesting, and it so happens we have that, from the works of @Weissreich. Be sure to give it a read. I can't remember what he called it, but it was quite extensive.

I wasn't even aware we had a Proper Regional RP, so to speak.

Yeah, in late 2013, a list of locations within the RP world of Wintreath was started by Wintermoot, and many other citizens including Weissreich helped create them. Then in early 2014, Weissreich wrote a really well thought out Establishment of Setting that talks about the (unofficial official) RP history of Wintreath and incorporates many of the locations from the previous list into it. Along with that, he created a map of the world that has since been ungraded by Hydra and Nutjob7.

Then in early 2016, when he came back to Wintreath after his initial disappearance, he tried to start up an RP that would encompass all of this lore and serve as a sort of regional RP, but it never kicked off. He has since disappeared again a year ago, and we didn't really want to start it without him since it's mostly his creation.
