So, colour coding represents allies of varying degrees of surety? At least, that's my guess.

Blue colours do yeah...indicating regions we have relations with, have treaties with, and of course us. It's a pretty colourful board overall.

New numbers for the past week! There appears to have been a global hit in activity, and we were not immune. Our numbers fell from 663 posts in the previous week to 359 this week, a drop of around 45%. In addition to the global decrease (which decreased 20%), there were a number of reasons why activity fell...the latest games of Clue, Spyfall, and Werewolf ended at about the same time; the deliberations concerning Govindia's Citizenship ended, and a number of people had to reduce their activity this week due to real life.

We'll see what next week holds.

If you ever wanted to experience the activity of a GCR, look no further than our own activity last week. We shattered the previous record with an incredible 1,310 posts, an amount that surpassed every GCR except Lazarus.

So, since that week we've settled into the 550-600 post zone, which I think is respectable. Something to watch out for is that it appears we're beginning to enter the annual summer lull, a time when activity across all of NS plummets. So far the lull is mostly restricted to fewer new nations coming into the game, but it usually translates into lower forum activity as well.

Well, there's a winter lull too...so summer AND winter are coming.

Really the best seasons for NS are spring and autumn. I guess that's because it's when people are most likely to be at school and work and not away.

I don't know if anyone ever watches this, but after an absence I have returned to doing this with the help of some scripts that help automate part of the process...now instead of it taking over 2 hours it takes about 30 minutes, with most of that time spent actually copying the numbers into the spreadsheet.

Since it doesn't seem fair to compare these numbers to early August's, all of this week's numbers are in white.
