What has been your favorite part about (or about living in) the US?
What advice would you give to someone trying to make their first conlang?

Not so much because of things being different, but because the language barrier and Anti-Russian sentiment in the place where I moved was rather high. I spent an entire year in American Highschool effectively deaf, because the ESL programs only helped Spanish speakers, and I knew no useful English. It wasn't until I got a tutor that I was able to actually communicate in classes. Before then I just sat in class, listening to what was to me gibberish. I lived in the city of Volgograd, so the modernized city life and suburbs stuff was relatively similar, though I do miss being close to my uncles semi-primitive village, which was a shock when I saw that those only exist in like, Amish towns
but on a brighter note, you told me you're into folk music from a lot of foreign cultures. What other kinds of folk music do you like?
