    Welp today a 2.6 Terrabyte leak was dropped.

    Among those implicated are 12 head of states, including the PM of Iceland and Putin.

    This all started from one German Newspaper, the Süddeutsche Zeitung (Which translates as the South German Newspaper If I am not mistaken), who has an article here (The article is in English, there is a German version here

    Apparently this was released a year ago and they've been going over it ever since. Honestly it sounds like they recorded a huge amount of information of which only a small percentage was actually illegal or incriminating. Kinda shady, but the our governments uses the same "record everything" approach and expects us to accept that they won't prosecute us unless it's incriminating.. soo I guess turnabout is fair play?

    Although shit is going on in Iceland...in 3 days the following has happened:
    • Protests where about 1/43rd (or so) of the Population of Iceland, with one occuring outside the Parliament Building.
    • Prime Minister said he would not resign (Yesterday)
    • Prime Minister meets with President of Iceland and demands that the President dissolves the current government and calls elections, president refuses. This is interpreted as a bizarre and failed power play.  (Today)
    • Prime Minister Resigns (Today)
    • The two main parts of the current Government Coalition decide to allow the government to continue (Today)
    • The members of the opposition and other parties, along with the many citizens of Iceland are not pleased and want snap elections. (Today)
    • More Protests occur.
