We can indeed be friends; cake is meh, I don't have much of a sweet tooth; cats are cruel animals that play with their prey rather than have the decency to kill them quickly without suffering, so no, I find most cats repulsive; hugs are good; no; yes, dogs are supreme.

Of course - I was under the impression I was already friends with most of you here, so why are people asking this?

I used to travel extensively before getting trapped behind a desk for most of my working hours. I still do when I can, and I've been to most countries in Europe save some of the more easterly ones, I've visited Russia, I've been to Africa and I visited S. America once as well.
