Ahhh, good choice! Why?

I always favoured the rune for the symbolic meaning it has, and it's easier to see on the flag.

Alright, I actually did find a rune that works nicely. Here are some drafts:





The rune according to Uskok's link symbolises protection, a little nod to defenderism. What do you think?

I like the first one. But the yellow frame should be a bit bigger, if you ask me, but that's just a worthless opinion from somebody who also would like a shark on that flag. Or better: A dead shark. Anyway, I would accept the first flag without hesitance. The second one looks too unsymmetrical for me.

TSR needs to make submissions to the submission topic before the deadline.

I would personally like the second flag better if there were more runes along the bottom, or at least one in the other corner. I agree with the shark punching one that it's a little too asymmetrical for my tastes. The first one is quite nice though.
