Social Media Links
The social media links (Facebook and Steam) have been moved from the top navigation bar to the sidebar. They just didn't look right where they were, but look great on the sidebar.

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the shoutbox only autolinks http, not https.

This is a really really minor issue, but negative karma still shows on classic profile.

Former citizens can't see the shoutbox.

The classic profile is no longer supported...I'll remove the negative karma if I happen to remember while doing something else, but I doubt I'll get into the code for that specifically.

I also don't think the shoutbox is accessible to non-Citizens...honestly, I've been thinking about doing away with the shoutbox or moving it to a seperate page cause that column really limits space on screens with smaller resolutions.

You could put the shoutbox on the bottom with the Info Center.

Huh, nice notifications menu.

Could you move that to the left of the profile/settings menu, and keep that on the right? Most websites I've seen (including Google and Facebook) do it that way.

Today is a momentus day: the grammar on the newsfeed has been fixed, in my current capacity I declare today "newsfeed grammar day" and it shall be a regional holiday for the rest of time!

(PS: yes I do know I'm the only person that cared/cares XD I am more laughing at myself than anything else )

By the first "that" I meant the notifications menu. I generally see notifications to the left of the settings/profile/logout menu on most websites.

Just FYI, the profile picture input doesn't accept https links. (I've been wondering why my links don't work for so long, and I finally figured it out today! )

We're experimenting with doing graphics in the menu for notifications. Not sure if it'd look right if we had text, an icon, and then another text option, but we might be able to do a person graphic in the future and switch them around.

Notifications Move
The notifications area has been moved from the newsfeed to the top menu on every page. Now when you receive a notification, the envelop icon (which was made by @trader) at the top-right will light up and a sound will play to alert you, making it easier to keep track of when people like your posts or send you a PM. At the same time, I was able to remove the notification column from the newsfeed, giving posts more space, especially on smaller screens.

As part of making the newsfeed more functional for smaller screens, I also changed how youtube clips are displayed...the default size of the videos grew from 640x400 pixels to 800x500 pixels, but now the clip will scale down to fit the space if there isn't enough space for the full size.

Overall, this should make the website more functional and useable, especially for people on smaller screens.

I think it looks good now, especially since the mail icon is nearly invisible when there's no notifications.

Also I did some more work and spoilers will now open and close in the newsfeed now.

I got freaked the fuck out by the sound from the notifications. I didn't know what was happening.
