Recruiter Page Updates
The recruiter page will now store an unlimited amount of nations that have been founded when someone has had the recruit page open instead of just the last 100 at any time. This will allow us to go back and recruit to nations that were created hours or even days ago if there wasn't recruiting at the time. Conversely, clicking a nation link on the recruit page will remove it from the list. This should make it more efficient to have multiple recruiters on the page at one time by reducing the risk of more than one sending a telegram to any nation.

Additionally, I fixed an issue where you had to middle-click the nations in the list to have it counted in the activity counter. Before if you left-clicked it would open the page in the same window/tab before the script to update the counter could run. This has been fixed.

A remaining issue is that the recruiter page will not record more than 100 nations founded when nobody has the recruiter page opened. I will fix this in a future update.

Emergency Recruitment Updates
The portion of the recruiter system that stores the nations to be recruited to has been moved from a flatfile to the database. The flatfile was all that was needed when only 100 nations were being stored at a time, but with the list growing to nearly 1000 nations many problems became evident. The switch to the database will should eliminate most of not all of the problems.

Profile Data Bug Fix
In cases where someone had added a nation to a profile but had no Citizenship nation, the forums would fail to load their profile information due to faulty logic in the code that adds restrictions to which members are loaded. This bug has been fixed.

Snowfall is back (if you want it)!

As promised, the snowfall effect is back if you want it. To enable the effect, go to your menu->Account and in the display options enable the snow effect. Because of the resources the effect takes up, you may only want to enable it if you have a GPU and/or a newer computer.

More Recruit Page Updates
Nations on the recruit page will now be added even if nobody is on the recruit page. This will ensure that all nations that are founded or refounded are listed. Also, the script will remove certain nations based on the region they move to, allowing us to avoid recruiting to puppets, Nazis, and the like.

Excellent!  How specifically will the script work as far as sorting out nations?

For example, if a nation moved to Nugut they would be removed from the list as that's a military puppet dump. If a nation moved to Nazi Europe they would be removed because that's a Nazi region. Things like that.

I'm trying to think of a way to eliminate puppets that have nearly the same name (Wintermoot001, Wintermoot002, etc), but the logic on that is defying me at the moment...

It's already an excellent system.

But it could be better.

The biggest con is that I'm still doing the bulk of recruiting myself, so making recruiting easier, more effective, or more rewarding is important so we can attract more recruiters and so there's a greater impact when they recruit. I'm open to ideas in those areas.

Recruit Page Daily Counter
In addition to the overall counter, there is now a daily recruitment counter to show how many nations recruiters have recruited that day (according to UTC time).

Something interesting just happened - I clicked on a nation on the recruiting page, scrolled down to check the region, it said, "Wintreath!"

If someone else had gotten to the nation already, shouldn't they have disappeared from the list?  I thought we had stopped using stamps, so I didn't think that could have caused it...

It may be a nation that was previously in Wintreath, ceased to exist, and came back upon refounding without being recruited. I've ran into a few of those...what's the name of the nation?
